There's already a war going on and people are dying nightly. This is about protecting yourself and your property. The rioters, looters, killers aren't going to ever de-escalate.

Why do you have a picture of a gun as your avatar? It’s always creeped me out when grown men do that. You can’t deny, even if you claim to not be one of those people, that other gun enthusiasts seem to have a sort of wet dream about getting to use their weapons against people. I’ve seen a lot of that on social media; people openly hoping for a civil war

Ironic justification in a paintball thread. Sad you think crossing state lines and shooting people is worth and considered as protecting "yourself".

May you not end up in jail like that 17 yr old murderer.

The 17 yr old was attacked and even hit in the head with a skateboard. He was part of a group that was there to protect people from the looters, rioters and killers. He had every right to be there with his gun. After seeing the footage there's no way he will be convicted. It's obvious he was in fear of losing his life.

He was attacked because he had shot someone in the face and began running. He actually had no right to be there with his gun because 17 year olds are not legally allowed to open carry guns in Wisconsin. What killers was he there to protect people from?

Wrong, he shot somebody after he was attacked

People are getting killed every night during these riots. You must not keep up with the news.

Care to lead me to the Wisconsin gun laws? In Texas he would have had the right to carry. Bottom line is the rioters dispersed like the cockroaches they are.

    God Bless Texas

I bet the existence of the universe that you have woken up zero times to genuine fears of Antifa or BLM genuinely affecting your life in a tangibly negative way.

He shot three different people at two different scenes so you'll have to be more specific. When he fell down two guys tried to take the gun away from him because he had already shot one person in the face. Police would call him an active shooter and a dangerous threat to those around him if you know, they weren't his enabling water buddies.

Also, I find it bizarre that most of you think shooting anyone was warranted. Self-defense requires a reasonable standard of fear of serious bodily injury or death in Texas. The notion that a 17 year old with a rifle could handle the situation he put himself in is nuts.

Lie, people are not getting killed every night. Protests in Portland have gone on every day for three months and have gone on around the country the same amount of time. You must not keep up with the news.

In Wisconsin open carry is legal for any person that is 18 years or older and not prohibited from possessing a firearm under state and federal laws.

As someone whose exposed to the gun culture in real life, your perception is pretty spot on.

Conservative gun enthusiasts brag incessantly about how they are more prepared for an armed conflict with "soy boys".

People are dying nightly ... nightly.

But never mind the 1000 people who are dying daily from CV-19. Your locked-n-loaded protecting-my-family ass hasn’t done **** about that. amirite?

Older people who have pre-existing conditions are 90 percyof the deaths and yes I follow the guidelines even though it's been proven if you're not wearing a N-95 mask that masks don't last for more than 20 minutes.

    Nice try at diversion though.

I don't look at being prepared for the worst as bragging.

There are people out there that I know that have hand grenades for instance.

True, I don't live in fear. But I'm prepared for the worst.

I would be very fearful in a riot crowd and would be carrying. I would be just as afraid of getting Covid-19 in the riot crowd.

1 person dies in protest violence
    versus
1000 people dying of CV-19 (not even considering the survivors who are long haulers)

You are very concerned about the former. I am very concerned about the latter.

Curiously you are concerned with the one with a clear 2nd amendment solution ... that our POS POTUS is promoting.

My diversion is to question your priorities ... and ... perhaps your world view.

I’m in Houston and haven’t kept up with this active war with people dying nightly. Quick google showed about a few hundreds complaint of attacks from far right against protesters over the last few months. Looting and properties destroyed in some places. It also shows a few death, less than my hand can count over the past few months over these clashes. If there is an active war with nightly death between blm protesters and anti-blm protesters, I expected to see reports of them. Where are you seeing that? Links?

This is the beginning of a war.

    Just not a civil war.
