History provides numerous examples of leaders who surrounded themselves with yes-men and became divorced from reality, eventually making catastrophic mistakes from which they could not recover, regardless of whether their original intentions were good or bad. This is precisely why diverse, independent advisors and accurate data are crucial for decision-makers. Nations fail when such leaders also become unresponsive to their citizens or cannot be held accountable. This was always the danger with this POTUS. It has been pointed out, but goes to deaf ears.

There is always a way back, but it might take decades.

Liberals look to create resistance wherever and whenever they can -- and they are willing to sacrifice the integrity of an institution for the first time if it suits their short term needs. This isn't the first time they've played games with the jobs number -- remember the fall of 2012 right before the Obama-Romney election? When magically unemployment got below 8.0% just in time for the election?

Democrats sacrificed the IRS to punish conservatives.
Democrats sacrificed FEMA to deny aid to Trump supporters.
Democrats sacrificed the DOJ to try to bankrupt and imprison Trump for life.
Democrats sacrificed the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates for the benefit of the Harris campaign when the data didn't support it... and hold rates high under Trump when the data supports cuts.
Democrats sacrificed the intel agencies to smear Trump, derail his agenda, and remove him from power.

The list goes on and on. Democrats simply cannot be trusted. And this horned rim glasses woman running BLS is no exception. They feign outrage when they are called out for their brazen acts. Gaslighting is their only defense. Thank God we have a fighter in the Oval Office who will not tolerate the deceptions and dishonesty of the Democrats.

    GOOD DAY

JD Vance voted YES on McEntarfer (86-8 confirmation).

Trump's own BLS Commissioner William Beach is defending her.

Are they part of the resistance, or is your verbose logic broken?

That was before McEnfarter revealed herself to be a partisan actor. And again, it was before Democrats sacrificed the integrity of an institution, in this case the BLS, and most considered these appointees to be free from political behavior. Now they have taken off their mask and revealed their once-hidden intentions. Trump's termination of her was justified -- when you miss on your numbers THAT BADLY and are forced to make massive revisions, then you are not good at your job. So multiple valid reasons to terminate her.

And I would further say that she propped up the numbers in the last two months' reports in order to prevent the Fed from lowering interest rates. Then she revised the numbers downward AFTER the Fed made their policy decision. As a reminder, the Fed has a dual inflation-employment target which guides their interest rate decisions. So she purposefully damaged the US economy and raised our debt payments -- all in the name of selfish partisanship. I'd like to see her criminally investigated.

    Some basic facts:

BLS revises numbers every single month - that's how the system works and always has worked.

William Beach - Trump's own guy - says the process is "decentralized by design to avoid interference" and "BLS uses the same proven, transparent, reliable process every month."

So either Trump's own BLS Commissioner doesn't understand how BLS works, or you're making things up. Pretty easy choice.

In August 2024 2 months before the election the BLS revised down the previous 2 months of job gains by a massive number even though the election was 2 months away. Biden didnt fire the BLS director nor did liberals spin braindead conspiracies like you.

You have zero evidence that the BLS jobs report is wrong nor she did her job wrong.

Bls revised down the job numbers 2 months before the 2024 election in a blow to Harris....

BLS does this often. MAGA are just illiterate

MAGA folks are just grasping at threads to defend their support for Trump and his Brown Shirts. It's really hard to believe at this point, because I never thought I'd see the day when Americans were more patriotic to some lying old geezer and old snake oil salesman than to everything our country stand for. It's not We the People any more, but Do as Trump Says you should do, or else!

Here's a brief but good summary video from WSJ on what the job revision could mean.
Basically, the video says half the numbers from the downward revision came from education and social services, while the other half from private sectors. It's the lack of hiring by private companies that could be troubling if it continues, but it's still hard to tell if this was just a hiccup or the start of a long-term problem.

As for the timing of the report, the video does mention Powell might have decided to lower interest rates had he known about this downward revision beforehand. But (this is my assumption) the revision of job numbers would probably come out on a set schedule, so that it maintains consistency in the long term. If the release dates of the report are decided on the whim of the labor statistics commissioner, that's one thing, but if they aren't, the numbers are what they are, IMO.

why didn't the tangerine Musolinie fire JD Vance?

Tech industry layoffs hit 100,000 for 2025,

    • Intel leading the pack with over 12,000 personnel cut, so far
    • Microsoft follows closely, with 10,000 personnel laid off from several divisions, including cloud, gaming (including game studios), and hardware.
    • Meta has also cut about 8,000 workers despite offering $100M bonuses for new AI hires and rapidly building AI data centers.
    • Other big companies affected by layoffs include Amazon, Google, Salesforce, and Cisco.

so, why didn't the tangerine Musolini call for the firing of these tech CEOs

Me either. At least I learned from that huge mistake, unlike others. I mean I knew he was shady, but had no idea what a pathological lying scumbag and idiot he was back then. I also learned to never trust the GOP party again after watching them turn into hypocritical bootlickers, conspiracy spreaders, and defenders of Trump's lies over and over and over.

This is the exact behavior Republicans started using during the 90's and well into the 00's. And we all know the condition the Bush administration left the Republicans in after his time in office.

Party over country like good little fascist.

even the Trump mouth-piece on Fox Business Channel are citing the same economic development

in 2019. POTUS Trump nominated Stephen Moore for a position to head one of the Fed Reserve Bank; Moore later withdrew his nomination.

    yesterday, on Fox Business Channel,

why isn't the tangerine Musolinin calling for the firing of Stephen Moore

There is so much BS in that I wouldn't even know where to begin, and it's not worth my time to do.

I think the funniest and most hypocritical part of all was you saying "Thank God we have a fighter in the Oval Office who will not tolerate the deceptions and dishonesty of the Democrats," when Trump is a pathological liar who spews deception, dishonesty, and flat out lies every single time he opens his mouth for 5 minutes.

Good grief. They call it cult mentality for good reason, that's for sure.

It’s responses like the above when I know I’ve served an ace. No response is possible to the cold hard facts. The facts are stunning to the American liberal whose informational diet (CNN, MSNBC) is nothing but partisan lies!

You refuse to accept facts dude. You refuse to acknowledge or believe Trump is a pathological liar. When someone is that naive, stupid, or downright brainwashed, then whatever you claim you are serving up an ace is hilarious. The only one that is being served anything is you, from your cult master himself. So keep eating up those platefuls of lies, half-truths, exaggerated and distorted BS he serves you, but don't believe for a second I will ever take your "truth" as anything but regurgitated and spit out echoes of the pathological lying Trump himself. Unlike you, I fact check the BS coming straight from that horse's ass of a man's mouth.
