Here you are, right on time.

Those who work for a living get a few scraps to slightly offset the tariff rape.

The billionaires who gravitate to Trump and helped him get elected get massive tax cuts. Not that they even pay by percentage what the rest of us pay.

Get ready for a lot more of this until the Administration stops reporting the data

    The Associated Press

    ‪@apnews.com‬

BREAKING: The U.S. government says 247,000 people applied for unemployment benefits last week, the most in eight months.

TACO Trump's so-called beautiful bill is so terrible that even his BIGGEST donor for the 2024 election is bashing it

‘Disgusting abomination’: Musk goes nuclear on
    TACO Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill’

"Elon Musk declared today, on day 134 of the Trump presidency, 'I just can't stand it anymore.' And in response,
the explosively rageful TACO Trump said nothing,"

"And that is how you know who TACO Trump fears in this world. If you attack Donald Trump and Donald Trump says nothing,
TACO Trump's silence is the biggest expression of fear that he has."

Reminder: Musk wants the Congress to spend LESS. His opposition to the bill is that not enough cuts are made. The liberals are going bonkers over ANY cuts and want Congress to spend MORE. So you might want to sit this one out, rookie. This is a debate between conservatives and deficit busting hawks. This is no debate for tax-and-spend liberals who got us into this fiscal mess in the first place.

    As he says ...

This piece of legislation at a time of massive income and wealth inequality makes the obscenely rich, the oligarchs even richer while attacking the most basic needs of working families and the most vulnerable people in our society.

Need examples for yourself? Listen up.

No offense but Bernie is a hypocrite of the highest order.
Talks about taking on big pharma, which would be awesome if he weren't on big pharma's dole.
    .
    Company Donation to Bernie
    Pfizer $450,000
    Johnson & Johnson $400,000
    Merck & Co. $375,000
    Moderna $350,000
    Gilead Sciences $325,000
    Amgen $300,000
    Eli Lilly and Company $325,000
    Bristol-Myers Squibb $275,000
    Biogen $250,000
    Regeneron Pharma $225,000
    AbbVie $300,000
    Vertex Pharma $225,000
    Novavax $200,000
    Organon & Co. $200,000
    Genentech $200,000

I can't take anybody like him serious. Just another do as I say not as I do fellow.
Goes on an end oligarch tour but does not realize HE IS THE OLIGARCH!!!
    Just a little rant.

Your point of view is wrong because your data is wrong. These are donations from employees who work for these companies. He does not accept PAC money.

The big difference between Bernie and Trump is that Bernie doesn't approve tax cuts to the rich while stripping aid to the poor and most vulnerable. It's really that simple. So, no matter how rich he is, he is against a bill making him richer by taking away from those who need help most. Trump coddles to the wealthy.

Yeah, it's misleading the way they show those totals.
Sanders, in fact, received no contributions at all from political action committees affiliated with drug companies, or from top pharmaceutical executives. But because of a quirk in the site’s methodology, donations from individual, low-ranking employees are counted the same as official contributions from corporate PACs.

Typically, in Washington, corporations’ support for political candidates is measured by donations from its PAC, and to an extent, from its top executives. Like the article said, when measuring PAC spending specifically, Sanders and Warren are nowhere near the top. According to OpenSecrets, neither is among Capitol Hill’s top 25 recipients of donations from pharmaceutical manufacturing PACs. In 2020, the top pharmaceutical PAC recipient in Congress was Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), who accepted $240,600 in official committee gifts; in 2024, it was Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.), who accepted $441,800.

"Misleading" implies it was an oversight in the presentation. This is not the case--it's propaganda.

    Meanwhile....

Healthcare executives wrote checks for millions of dollars to attend at least six private dinners with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Kennedy attended several of these dinners, despite being a longtime Big Pharma critic and leading previous proposals to beat back the industry’s influence — raising questions about Big Pharma’s ability to throw its weight around during the Trump Administration.

“It is unclear why you attended private dinners with Big Pharma executives at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club following your promises to ‘clean up corruption’ and 'stop the revolving door between industry and government,’” wrote the lawmakers.

The pharmaceutical executives who attended Trump’s dinners alongside RFK Jr. have repeatedly called on the Administration to stop the Medicare drug negotiations that have already lowered prescription costs and could save taxpayers as much as $100 billion by 2032. Big Pharma stands to profit immensely from President Trump’s abandonment of this and other policies that would bring drug prices down, such as patent reform. Pharma officials have continued to lobby President Trump to weaken drug price negotiations in the months since the dinners.

Even if he takes on their money, but he doesn't STOP going after them - how is that a hypocrite?

Also, seems that what you posted was FAKE NEWS, he doesn't take their money.

Here is a breakdown....of his money.

I am not sure, but what are his voting records on big pharmacy bills? Taking money is only an issue if it affects their votes. It might have. But I haven't seen all of his votes. I do know all if them. I know he previously campaigned against prop 61 which was a big pharmacy bill. He also put a hold on the Robert Califf(sp?) nomination because if his ties to big pharma.

Looking deeper at the contributions they also aren't actually that damning.
    https://www.statnews.com/2025/02/03...e-sanders-elizabeth-warren-open-secrets-data/

They certainly aren't zero, but I haven't seen a link showing that big pharma received any favorable treatment at all because of those donations.
