    Bully everyone else into buying less Chinese stuff.

    People talk about TBTF as a given, but it shouldn't be brought up all the time when the stock market gets dinged by 15-20%. That just means someone got greedy, ****ed up, and would do it all over again because they know they'll get bailed out.

    I'll give this as serious of an answer as possible:

    If you REALLY want to bring back manufacturing for the things that we import from China for the sake of manufacturing jobs for "American Workers" you need to do the following:

    -Tariff Chinese goods at the high rate possible to take them off the market completely
    -Spend trillions in incentives to investors to build plants in America
    -Import immigrants, or incentivize illegal immigrants to come here in the millions to create a workforce that can take that pay, and working environment
    -Decrease the value of the dollar to where Americans can be okay with spending expenses to lower their standard and accept pay to compete with immigration labor
    -Pass a multi-trillion dollar bailout bill for homeowners who have to foreclose on their homes given that they will be upside down on their mortgages as home prices plummet
    -Close down a good portion of public schools in America since property tax revenue will decrease due to home values plummeting.
    -Pass anti-automation & AI legislation to ensure manual labor jobs are secured from substitute automated workforces
    -Wait about 5 to 8 years

    -Then compete with China, Vietnam, etc. for manufacturing jobs


    ......


    Is THIS really the American people want to go back to??

    The more I think about what this actually means the more and more I keep thinking...

    -Need a bailout bill here
    -Need a bailout bill there
    -etc. etc.

    So much of this relies on the federal government subsidizing the sh$t out so many different parts of our economy and blowing the roof off our federal deficit. This is EXACTLY what Republicans were so afraid of with Bernie/Socialists that they didn't even think for 2 seconds that Trump was actually the worst possible version of Bernie that they demonized.

    (Worth noting Bernie also believes in maintaining the rule of law, is not corrupt, does not lie, and despite his ambitions, is very pragmatic when passing legislation).

    This is truly batshit crazy insanity we are living in. All of this because Boomers were afraid of trans people, and insecure bros wanted to be able to use the "R" word again.

    Republicans, even pre-Trump, have always been total piece of **** liars when it comes to budget deficits because taxes reduce deficits, but Republicans oppose any type of taxation of non-poor people and even oppose basic tax collection and tax law enforcement. Even "fiscal conservative" Republicans have been pieces of sh-t on this.

    But, this, this is just a whole other universe of exponential stupidity - we're "living beyond our means" so destroy the economy with DOGE and tariffs, destroy the ability to borrow in dollars cheaply by dedollarizing the globe, destroy all of America's short & long term prosperity by sabotaging its science & technology advantage , and then have to take out high interest loans to bail out ****ing farmers.

    JUST ****ING INSANE JUST ****ING INSANE JUST ****ING INSANE

    This is almost worse than being invaded by China or Russia.

    Billionaires didn't spend 50 years to packing the supreme court in their favor so that Trump could destroy the economy in a month. Leonard Leo controls the Supreme Court, not Trump. This lawsuit will win. For the first time ever, I am pro-Federalist Society.
