really interested to know if Houston is in on JaMychal Green. If we could figure out a way to get Green for the NG contracts, and just keep Anderson, that wouldn't be a bad situation. No, it's not a 3rd star, but damn would that really help our existing front court. Homeboy rebounds and plays good defense, and he's developed a good 3pt shot as well (around 37-38% last year). Capela/ Nene JaMychal Green/ Anderson Ariza/ PJ Tucker Harden/ Gordon Chris Paul Call me delusional, but i think that team could compete with anyone.
I got excited today. yesterday I read somethng here about Jamychael from Codman. Then today news broke, Lowe RTed something along the lines of "Jamychael has 2 offers and a couple trades we are looking at, it seems Memphis is going in another direction." Can“t post the tweet from work.
We can add the numbers, nothing significant on that day in history. It was a Friday. Maybe something happens this Friday? The 7th will again be on Friday?
July 7th, coming up this Friday, day that R.Kelly becomes guaranteed. Now... about that 1905 (or perhaps 111 years old) ... or... turning 112 on July 7th.
We get melo July 7th? I'm not buying the "no longer talking to Knicks about Melo" crap. Morey never gives up.
Nothing until Friday? Then I'm going to have a cocktail by the firepit. I'll check back in a bit to see if someone has figured out Cod's Numerology.
Ujiri is really screwing up imo. Nice move by the Thunder who imo will be 3rd in the West next season. Also it's pretty clear now Morey WILL, as he said, hang on to the NG's. At a starting salary of $5.2m, he easily could have orchestrated a SnT for Patterson. Or maybe he shares my feeling that we don't need another PF unless Anderson is traded. Anderson/Tucker is a fantastic PF rotation AFAIC.
PPat signing is the largest disappointment so far behind Millsap. I didn't think other signings were even realistic to be disappointed. I think we have too much riding on Melo and missed out on a piece that would have fit well off the bench.
Could James play some 3? I think we will just have to have a lil patiemce rest of the summer until the market levels off. Still some talent out there we could get for cheap once they don't get the money they thought they would get. We still a good destination for players.
Primarily Tucker. I expect him to back up both forward spots. I'm expecting the 3rd string SF is Troy Williams. But before Williams ever hits the court, there are going to be lots of situations where Paul/Gordon/Harden will occupy the 1/2/3 also - in that situation I'd call Harden a point forward, which I have always thought is the ideal position for him - be the PG on offense, guard the lesser Forward on defense. I also get the feeling from what people have been saying about him that Shawn Long can easily end up our 3rd string PF. MDA's lineups are always fluid. If Ryno and Ariza each play 30 minutes, then there are only 36 minutes total at backup SF/PF. Tucker can get 30 easy. Gives us awesome flexibility to switch forwards depending on whether the opponent is playing a big 4 or a stretch 4, who's playing well, etc. Frankly unless there's a great Forward available for BAE, I don't understand why people keep saying we need depth at F. I want more depth at Forward, but it's certainly not a need right now given there are 3 guards total on the roster, 2 of them no strangers to injury. We NEED 2 more guards. We might need 1 more F if Morey/MDA are not sensing enough development from Troy to pick up garbage minutes and injury insurance.
