Appreciate the insights @ch44! I'm so ready for us to turn this ship around, but don't really want to blow our wad on aging or broken vets.
Where is the other guy who used to pop in every now and again, going through a lot in life with radiation therapy iirc?
Dang, this Fathers Day has started out with a bang for me! I open up Clutchfans and @Doc Rocket comes out of retirement and @ch44 makes a grand appearance as well!! “Happy Father’s Day” to my fellow CF brothers!!! Go Rockets!!! ……. ……. …….
If the report by our own Ben Dubose regarding Udoka's desire for a vet like FVV is correct, then Black or Amen may not be selected imo.
I been telling these clowns from the beginning Miller nor Scoot is dropping. These teams aren't that stupid.
I don't know that it necessarily affects the draft. Common wisdom, which Stone & co. seem to adhere to, is "best player available". Picking for fit is a big no-no in draft circles. Also don't think it would be a bad thing for Amen to come off the bench as a rook.
I think it’s just like the NFL draft. If there is no clear cut BPA then use fit as an input into the decision.
That's true, all else being equal it could be the tiebreaker. I'm a little skeptical we're in one of those situations at #4 though.
Sounds like the Rockets believe Amen is a tier above the rest, so if they stay put I think they take Amen
Two of the best at 20 imo. Both have great handles, can create shots respectably, both are versatile shooters across the floor, and both have high level reads and feel. I love AirPodz a bit more because 1) he’s a dawg 2) I believe in late boomers because there might be more self discovery on the horizon 3) despite his limits he tries to defend hard 4) best rebounder among guards in his class and 5) chance that he’s available at 20 is higher If the Rockets keep this pick and select Brandon it will cement Stone as an excellent drafter imo.
