Huge Series here ... Watching on Padres TV, and they just got a taste of Taveras and they seemed shocked at how fast he is. Willy is really starting to make a name for himself.

Peavy is going to be really tough on Wednesday, but if they can somehow take 3 out of 4, the Astros should be feeling damn good about themselves. We'll have Clemens and O going against the Dodgers so we can really make a run at .500 before the All Star break if this series goes well.

Great game. I love day games. I had fun there at MMP park. $1 hotdogs RULE! :D

    Biggio is da man!

It was a standing room only crowd. 40,595 IIRC.

Honestly, I'm rooting for the Cubs tonight and the rest of the series. The Braves have some guys on the DL that are coming back soon, so the more losses they get now, the better.

Exactly ... we are close enough to the sCrUBS and have enough games head to head with them to take care of business ourselves there. I think ATL and FLA are the biggest threats and really have to be considered heavy favorites in the Wild Card race. I'll just be happy if the Astros are still playing games in September with a chance to steal that playoff spot.

I just so hard to bring myself to root for the Cubs, although I probably hate Cub fans more then the Cubs themselves. The Braves are the team to beat in my opinion also.

Dennys Reyes is pitching for San Diego tonight as a starter???????

The guy is middle relief. So, how many innings will he go before he falls apart? Or will they pull him after 3 and send in every reliever they've got?

The Cubs are a freaking joke. Their catcher said they were so much better than us prior to this season beginning just like he said they were so much better than us last season. Yet, their only playing .500 ball and we are caught up to them even with our terrible nosedive earlier in the season.

The Cubs are going nowhere fast. Their playing .500 W/L at Wrigley. That's hilarious.
