I've reviewed a couple of game recaps and can't find the information I want. On that Favre interception in OT, what down and distance was it? Was it third and long? Was it supposed to be one of those heaves that is "just as good as a punt" if it gets intercepted. While interceptions are never good, the back-breaker was the 35-yard return of the interception putting the Eagles in immediate field goal range.
Thanks. Well, there goes that theory. Nevertheless, the real killing part of the interception was the long return that put the Eagles on the edge of their field goal range.
The Packers were never planning on going for it. They lined up on 4th down and tried to draw the Eagles off side. It didn't work so they just let the play clock run down and took the delay of game penalty.
Not that it matters, but he clearly caught the ball at the 48 and they spotted it at the 46. Then the penalty made it the 41.
