Somebody threw a chair at Jermaine O'Neal; luckily he saw it coming and ducked.

I think this is a good idea. For the rest of the season, all the remaining Pistons-Pacers games should be played in Indiana, including playoff games.

what makes me mad the most are those two other fans with the pistons jerseys that come onto the court. And then once Artest punches one of them the other pretends like Artest is at fault. It is evident that those two fans wanted a piece of Artest in the first place by comming onto the court.

If someone threw a chair at my friend or teammate, I'd go after them. Thats a natural human reaction.

I agree. I don't think anyone is saying Artest did the right thing. It's just that in some situations, you cheer the guy doing wrong.

It's not right to hit, but if someone spits on your mother infront of you for no good reason, what do you do?

If some of you guys don't want to get "suspended" yourselves, you will IMMEDIATELY lay off the insults and curse words.

I cannot believe that you guys are turning a brawl on the court into one on the BBS. Jesus, it's like 3rd graders sometimes around here.

Artest will be suspended. The foul was unnecessary with the game won. It was deliberate, but not malicious compared to what he has done in the past. He should not have laid down on the scorers table like he was at the beach. That was a deliberate response to try and make Ben look worse, as if to say Ben doesnt even worry him. He should not have gone into the stands, although the reason that more and more professional athletes, baseball players and basketball players, are doing such things is because the treatment from fans is insane and the fans have been let go for way too long. Players getting pelted by batteries, beer bottles, etc is serious stuff. There was bottles and hard objects flying around during that brawl. It is unacceptable, but too often nothing is done about it. The players feel threatened. The NBA and MLB needs to re-evaluate how they protect their players and what penalties, arrests, and booting out of the arena/stadium of fans is done. The security has to be tighter, the players have to know that they will be protected and that out of control fans will not be tolerated. If this happens, the players going into the stands will stop.

The fella that threw the beer and the bottle should be arrested and be served a sentence alongside Artest and any other players that do jail time over this. That fella in the gray sweater deserves the same along with any other fans that were throwing punches and objects that can be identified. They should do time in jail.

Artest and Ben Wallace should spend time in jail in the same cell. They should get the same sentence.

Jermaine will be suspended too. He went into the stands and was throwing punches.

Ben, SJack, Jermaine, Artest will probably get the biggest fines and suspensions followed by Rasheed and some of the other players with smaller fines and suspensions.

Anybody who threw objects and punches should go to jail, fans and players alike. Slap them in the joint for 60 days. Players lose 2 months of the season and a lot of dough, maybe even playoff positioning. Hopefully, some of those fans lose their jobs and cant afford their season tickets any longer.

    ?Dude?

    Tinman,

We are just not going to agree. When you play in professional sports and a fan incident happens, you are just not justified in going into the stands. Period. Remember, we are not talking about me or you. We are talking about Ron Artest.

Was security ready for the mayhem? Absolutley not. No where near ready.

When fans throw things on the court (no matter what the objects are), the right course of action is let security handle it, eject the fan and criminal charges can be brought in appropriate cases.

99%? Highly doubt it. With all the crap that NBA players deal with, I can only recall one other incident where a player went into the stands -- our very own Vernon Maxwell. That is much less than 99%.

Now if we are talking about two guys in a bar, well we may get closer to 99%, but not in this case.
