For me that incident when the band of a team (USC?) came unto the field in afootbal game while the game was still on.

Also as a soccer fan, I have seen lots of bizzare stuff that can be comparable but cannot easily identify one game save for the one that Roma football club of Italy pulled off about a month ago. The football (Soccer) governing body of Europe (UEFA) purnished the club by suspending their fans from watching their next home game. AS Roma ended playing Bayer Leverkusen of Germany in their home stadium in Rome, Italy with no single fan in the stands. Just imagine the Detriot Piston playing their next game at home in an empty arena.

    :)

ENGLISH, MOTHERF'R, DO YOU SPEAK IT?

It's easy to justify it. Fan throws beer at Artest. That gives Artest the right to beat the crap out of him.

Actually yeah they can ban alcohol. They did it up here when the fans started pelting the refs with beer bottles and stuff when the Browns lost.

And I just realized that Orlando really lucked out here, they gotta play the Pacers tomorrow and you know just about EVERY Pacer's gonna be suspended!

I wonder if any of this has to do with the death of Ben Wallace's brother. I think he was just a bit tender and goin through some tough sh*t. I have never seen Ben Wallace react like this to a foul especially because he's a stand up guy that's a fan favorite for his likeable personality.

Did you watch the fight unfold? Artest walked away from a charging Ben Wallace. He was lying down when he sees a fan throwing a bottle of beer on him. I don't know about you, but I would do the same thing Artest did. I'm not saying it the right thing to do, but I understand.

Yeah, laying down during a confrontation is a real peaceful gesture. That won't tick people off EVERY SINGLE TIME.

    Horrible.

I've always thought there needed to be a barrier between the fans and the players in the NBA. Maybe this will bring it about.

Jermaine Oneal knocked the crap out of guy that came on the court. I think when fans go onto the court, it's basically on. I hope the Pacers that rumbled with those fans don't get arrested. Anyone dumb enough to go on the court is just asking for an ass kicking.

That was Freddie Jones that was pinned down by the fat guy. The fat guy landed a haymaker right into Jones' back of the head. Jones was obviously caught off guard. Then the fat guy then went on to wail on Jones as if Freddie Jones said something bad about his mother.

Artest fouls Ben, not a hard foul, just a foul. Ben turns and chokes Artest hard. The guy was just choked for no reason. And he backs away from Wallce. And you are saying people should get ticked off at Artest for laying down?

Again, I'm not saying Artest was right for fighting in the stands, I'm just saying I understand.

    Here is my solution:

For the fans that instigated or participated in the fight afterwards, who hold season tickets and could be identified, they lose their season tickets. Refund their season ticket money for the remainder of the season and void their tickets for the rest of the season. Do not permit them to rebuy the same seats in the future.

I wonder if David Stern can order a punishment like that.
