The Lakers-hype thats invented by the press is just astounding. I refuse to be surprised anymore when alleged "basketball experts" say something about a rockets player and make it painfully obvious they don't watch our games at all. It happens almost daily.
Does the rest of the NBA world outside of Houston think Farmar is starting PG material? Or just Indiana?
This guy lost all credibility when he said Lowry is not the pass first setup kind of guy. And then suggest to go after Farmer? It's game over.
Rockets are in a good situation. Because since they aren't going after free agents, they can wait as long as they have to to match salaries for their RFA. For teams with cap space, sometimes, they don't have time to sit on the sidelines and wait. Rockets should match anything that is reasonable for Lowry and Scola. Enough Said!!!
Yea it could be tricky if Larry decides to throw the full MLE at Lowry, which IIRC, is about $6.5 million a year? Lets say the Rockets get Bosh at the expense of trading Brooks. I'd like to think the Rockets would match any offer for Lowry, MLE and all, because Brooks would be gone. But what if the Rockets get Bosh without giving up Brooks? Do the Rockets want to match and pay MLE money to Lowry?
The problem comes up when someone really wants a player. For instance, what happens when the Knicks lose out on all those players and offer Scola $10 million a year? Or, perhaps the Clippers go hard after lowry at say $6 million a year. Then, the Rox have a problem. DD

No way! That could be said for a lot of players "take them out of their situation and put them on a better team and they'll be..." but there is no way in hell that this applies for Farmar. He is not a guy that you can hand the starting position to and hope he carries the PG load for the majority of the game. He is a role player the way he was used in LA, that is it. I know the Pacers don't think he's better than Lowry but I'm seriously hoping they do.
