There is no way the Wolves are going to add Rubio (who they deemed untouchable) and Beasley. The #2 pick is already enough for Granger.
How does it work capwise to trade a pick for a player making $12 million next year when the Wolves are only 3 million under the cap?
$6+ million with Telfair off the books. One of Flynn, Tolliver, Pekovic and Ridnour could be added to make it work. Anyone know if the Al Jefferson trade exception expired yet?
I have a feeling Morey is going to get involved in this. Somehow Morey is going to get Nikola Pekovic
They're giving up the best player in the deal and this trade will make them worse. Minny's the one having to cough up picks.
If the Pacers are including Darren Collison in this trade scenario, there's no way it's just the #2 and pick-your-scrub for Collison and Granger. I would think Kahn is at least smart enough to move Beasley (talented but not quite all there) to the Pacers to prevent the eventual logjam at the 3 if Granger came in.
Don't know exactly how Minnesota would wind up with Granger, if that's their target. Minnesota is pretty near maxed out on the salary cap. The Wolves shed some big salary next year, but there's a lockout that would prevent, say, Granger for Eddy Curry's fly-bloated (albeit far better-paid than me) corpse and the #2. Not saying a trade between the two teams can't / won't go down, but just because they're talking doesn't mean we're not in the running.
Spanish basketball is actually centered around cattle, oxen and the bovine stocks, unlike Greek/Balkan ball, which tends toward the goating & sheeping arts.
Maybe, but they are not trading Granger without getting Rubio back in return. They like Paul George as the future at the SG/SF spot. He's awesome defensively.
michael beasly will probably have a similar career projection as zach randolph. it'll take him a while to get his brain right lol
