i'm thinking of doing this, should i prepare for a few weeks first? i run ~3 miles everyday but rarely ever do strength training. i'm pretty weak and have poor posture, which makes my back and shoulders even weaker. my physical therapist told me i need to start lifting weights. edit: my 10,000th post! now i really have to do this program...
Cardio really won't help you prepare. Just try some basic body weight stuff, pushups, pull ups, squats, lunges. That will prepare you decently enough. Of course if you order a busted DVD set like I did, you will have even more time to prepare Have anybody here ever gone through a dispute resolution/filing a fraud claim on the amazon marketplace before? I'm seriously pissed I have to wait 3 weeks to start over.
I love Yoga X. I stick to my gym weight training but I do love doing Cardio X and Yoga X once a week.
Was thinking about doing this. Anyone have a set they are looking to get rid of, or know a good place to get it? Thanks
Another question- Are you guys doing the diet portion as well or just mainly the exercise? (sorry, didn't read the whole thread, just random pages)
Hate Yoga X. Works up a great sweat, but 1.5 hours of doing your best and forgetting the rest was boring.
Nothing showing up in my spam or email folder. I'll just send you my phone number, text me when you get it.
I would just dive right in. Just do the modified versions if things are too difficult right off the bat. Taking breaks is no problem either. Just hit pause and come back to it when you're ready after a few minutes. I had to take a couple of pause breaks during my first two weeks, especially for the chest & back workout. All those push ups and pull ups made me feel like I was going to die.
bought this baby a couple days ago, now just trying to work in a few days of interval training before it comes and i start day 1! i'll keep you posted on the results.
I'm trying to get ready for a basketball tournament in late April. I had to take 2 weeks off for exams. I'm on day 3 all over again. I've done plyo many times before, but yesterday I had trouble than usual. Shoulders and arms tonight. And I never have followed the diet plan. I've just never had the time and $ for it. I'm eating the same stuff I usually eat, just in less portions.
Good luck with it! I just ended my first recovery week and started the first workout of phase two this morning (day 31). I no longer feel like I'm going to die after doing some of these workouts, but they still kick my butt. I also bit the bullet and started writing down everything I eat/counting calories. No (or very limited) junk food either. It's a major lifestyle change.
