I'm crossing my fingers because its PJ, but its actually not luck. Luck would have been taking another corner three, which whatever the numbers say, he wasn't hitting at a solid clip ESPECIALLY down the stretch of games, even if open. Instead, he made a SOLID basketball play resulting in a high % shot. Much higher % at least, even if its not a typical PJ shot. Same with this. Its not luck that CP3 missed. They were actually playing better defense on him. Which made him a bit helter-skelter in this scenario. Even though it seemed like an open, close shot, I'd be much more concerned with CP3 toying with a defender at the 3 point line, and taking a step back, or toying with them mid-range, FT extended and hitting a silky smooth jumper. Instead, they made him drive, and over dribble. Rockets still weren't great offensively, but at least defensively they weren't in panic mode. They were locked in.
Where do you rank PJ Tucker among Rockets role players in the last 20 years? The best? Most consequential?
