pro-choice is not pro-abortion. you really think that a party that has worn the tag of free-loving, tree-hugging, bleeding-heart hippies for this century is all about killing life?

from a pro-choice supporter, i would word it this way:

if the nation outlawed abortion, there are thousands of people who will still attempt to abort babies, but in unsafe environments with crude tools, endangering more human lives. babies would wind up malnourished, dumped in dumpsters, left in the care of unfit parents who don't understand adoption, etc... if the nation allowed the people's right to medically safe abortions and simultaneously supported adoption and sex education, people would learn and horrific things like coat-hanger abortions would be curbed. this method ignores any church's moral compass, as it should, as church and state are kept separate. just my opinion.

 

so if people are still going to smoke crack, maybe we should let them do it, as long as we have safe crack smoking practices.

 

fine by me, as long as it's in their own home in private. i'd rather use the police force to catch violent criminals and sex offenders.

if the cracksmoker turns to crime or vandalism, nail 'em.

How anyone can say that a different view on abortion is stupid or invalid may be exactly those terms.


It is a very relevant, modern day, current debate. More Americans, younger than many realize, that are of voting age disagree with full abortion rights.
