our lack of defenders makes him MORE valuable to us. you are deliberately sidestepping pertinent questions, so i'm through wasting time with you here. other posters have asked us to move the chuck hayes conversation, so i'll make another thread later. you can enter that one, if you dare.
Your questions are not relevent to the Houston Rockets....I mean if we had Yao and TMac healthy. Come on.....stick to the context of the current team and how to get it to be a contending one... If we had Jordan and Pippen, I would be signing a different tune...maybe you want to live in the "WHAT IF" world, but that is a waste of time. The team is what it is....and in relation to Chuck Hayes...that is all that matters. Unless we are getting Lebron and Wade, there is no point in discussing such ludicrous questions. DD
lol wut??? How much of a difference would Chuck Hayes really make on that legendary bulls squad? Lebron James and Dwayne Wade had Joel Anthony in their starting lineup and look how far they got. Then you pair two superstars together (and chuck) and ask if that team would succeed.... In all of those scenarios, chuck really isn't needed for success. He is the odd man out in each of the examples. If you can pair Dwight and Paul together, you are probably not gonna want Chuck at the 4.... Since we don't have any players of that caliber, wouldn't that nullify your argument anyway? Wouldn't it make more sense to part ways with Chuck and rebuild? Surely there is a better chance of improving through rebuilding, instead of holding out for stars to pair with Chuck.... Please tell me if I am wrong. Or, are you so delusional about the Rockets that A) you think Chuck Hayes is going to make the difference in us getting a ring or not within the next couple of years. B) Even more hilariously sad and confusing, you expect the Rockets to land two superstars to pair with Chuck Hayes. Resulting in a superteam. I understand those who wish to keep Chuck as he has become a reliable player and a fan favorite, but lets get real. This team needs to rebuild and in the process needs to figure out if resigning Chuck Hayes helps or hurts that cause.
Back on point, any news about when the two sides will meet again, seems they are a lot closer on the major issues, so they need to get biznizzy ! DD
ChrisMannixSI Chris Mannix Kind of an eery silence coming from players, owners. Tough to tell whether that means sides working behind the scenes or not working at all.
It looks they have not had any behind the scenes meetings, but they have contacted each other. Everybody is holding out until Sunday, even though there is no scheduled meeting. A behind the scenes meeting?
Agents think it's too late for decertification. They are backing Billy Hunter now. http://abclocal.go.com/wtvd/story?section=news/sports/pro/basketball&sa=NBA&eid=7063236
Letting go of Chuck makes sense and/or helps only if: 1) The money Chuck would be paid would go to someone that helps us more (or to someone who potentially can help in the future) 2) The roster spot is more valuable for someone else to occupy If neither of the above is true, that I dont see how ridding ourselves of the Chuckwagon helps us to rebuild or become better.
