I defy anyone to chronicle a more meteroric fall than Nicholas Cage. From a possibly all-time top comedic role in Raising Arizona to Captain Correli's Mandolin and a quickie, sycophantic marrige to Micheal Jackson's ex. eeeuuu! , it makes me cringe
Allow me to clear up the GW Baily talk. You are both right. He did go to Tech. He later came back to SWT for additional classwork, and began teaching theatre there. I was a student in the theatre department right when he came. GW is actually a very good shakespearean actor. But his film roles are limited by his appearence. Also whoever it was that mentioned Larry Hovis I have to agree with. The guy is flat out amazing, as a professor, person, and everything else. I can't say enough good things about the guy. Owen Wilson is hilarious, the guy is funny, talented, and very good at what he does. He is close, but I wouldn't say he's the best comedic actor. I would have to give that to Christopher Guest. Guest is genuinely hilarious, and also very real with the subtleties of his characters. Wilson may be more overtly funny, though he does also have subtle moments imbedded within his characters. I don't know which of those two I like more. Bill Pullman - Say whatever you like about him, but as Chet in Weird Science he was supreme. Jeff Bridges was good in Big Lebowski, and also in Fisher King.
You can only include Kevin Costner on that list if you subtract: 1. the 2 best baseball movies of all time 2. And maybe Dances with Wolves and 13 Days, but the rest of his movies (see Waterworld, the Postman) are big-time stinkeroos.
