Chris Rock is a great comedian, his show was the best too, but watching him in movies is painful. I didn't watch Head of State. I'm sure my man Bernie stole the show though. The worst actor in any movie is Jason Mewes. Let's hope he never works in this town again.

    G.W. Bailey

    Actor

    (1944)

G.W. Bailey was born in Port Arthur, Texas. He attended DeQueen Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Junior High, and Thomas Jefferson High School before going on to Lamar University in Beaumont and Texas Tech University in Lubbock where he received his B.A.

Maybe he thought it was cool to lie to you or something. ;)

Mewes, you've got to be kidding me. Jay has to be one of my all-time favorite characters, or at least favorite stoner characters.

Bill Paxton will forever get a free pass for his portrayal of Pvt. Hudson in Aliens. He was also pretty good in Predator 2.

I completely agree about Reeves, although in person he's pretty cool and not at all Hollywood Star attitude-ish...but if he ever has to act his way out of a life and death situation, say goodnight.

Bridges did the faded, jaded worldweary guy too much for me, same as Nolte, but both could pull that role down and make you watch it, which is something.

Costner had a run of excellent movies in the mid to late 80's which was amazing, and since then has suffered from that unique American tendancy we have of building them up and then spending the rest of their lives knocking them down...He's pretty good to good, depending on the role...and has had some clunkers, but I enjoy a lot of his movies; Silverado, No Way Out, Bull Durham, the Untouchables, and Dances With Wolves to name a few...I have heard he is a dick, but then Van Gogh was an idiot.

Have never liked Gere, but he's been in some good films...Looks like a rodent.

But I completely disagree about Own Wilson...on two counts: He's not a pretty boy...no one with a nose like that is a pretty boy...but he is right out of the box funny. He;s one of those rare guys, like Walter Matthau, Bill Murray, etc. who are funny before they even say the line...they just get the comedic benefit of the doubt. Doesn't make him a good actor, which I think he is...but it's a rare quality.

Mewes was good in Dogma, which is one of my all time fav movies. Silent Bob actually directed that whole movie and has done quite a few others. He is quite talented.

I dont know if anyone else has seen Dogma, but I highly recommend trying to sit through it at least once. I don't know how to describe it, other than to say its a satire on religion.

Dogma is awesome. However, I was raised Catholic so I enjoy comedy that makes fun of Catholicism.

I just wish Ben Affleck wasnt in that movie.

I thouht dogma was a bit of a disappointment. In my opinion, the early Kevin smith movies, clerks and mall rats, were far and away the best. Later stuff like dogma and chasing amy weren't as good to me; they tried to get too serious and sort of lost something.

Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) directed pretty much every major movie Jason Mewes has ever been in. Mewes was also made some indie films by other people, like this one where Jason Lee is looking for Bigfoot (can't remember the name) but Kevin Smith is responsible for his whole career.

Dogma is good, but I think Clerks, Mallrats, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back were better. Chasing Amy has its ups and downs, but the convention scenes are fantastic. If you get a chance, watch "An Evening with Kevin Smith". It shows some appearances he did on a few college campuses, and if you are a fan is very funny.

Larry Hovis of Hogan's Heroes was the best acting prof I had at SWT. GW Bailey was is and always will be a tool. He was a joke on campus. I would have rather learned the trade from Keanu, at least I would have been rich then.
