And Dirk can't cover KG, and KG gets lit up by Dirk everytime the play. No one can cover these guys.

I actually heard him say this to Jeff Hagedorn at half-time of the Comets game the day after he was signed (and I have mentioned the quote in two other threads, take me off your ingnore list;) ). It means we are going to see a lot of 3 guard lineups. When he was asked about starting, Piatkowski at this stage in his career, starting wasn't as important as playing time and making a contribution. It sounded like he assumed Rice and Mobely were the starters.

Sane Eddie is only 6' 9''despite all the wishes of posters and reporters that made him grow 2 inches. When he was drafted it was to play the Small Forward position. I am not refering to what position he should play ,I was just correcting the thre posters statement. From my point of view he is more suited to the PF position so we are in agreement.

What makes you say he was drafted to play the small forward position?

The quotes from the Rocket's people at the time indicate he was drafted to play power forwad.

Considering that's the only position he did play, I think that was the position he was drafted for.

Yes, so he will play with Pike and Cuttino.
Adrian and Cat are too "minis" to play together.
And Boki won't play again. Rice is the only dude, but I think he wiil be the sixth man like in NY.

Forget Eddie Griffin at SF, he's a full PF. And that's the single dude now. griffin or Taylor at PF????

jodete the only reason it even crossed my mind was that I thaught I read that JVG was considering using Eddie in the Small Forward position. I just wish that we were developing T Morris, such a waste of a first round pick, which we traded for him.
