B/c the Colts never run up the score? How many snaps does Peyton miss in a season?

Their job isn't over until the end of the game. I have no problem with them still playing Brady and everyone else either. If they want to take that risk than so be it.

Colts do run up score sometimes, but not nearly the extend of patriots. colts would let up after 35-0. Patriots wouldn't let up even if it is 65-0.

Sorgi was in the game in the fourth when colts were up 31-7 for two series last game I believe.

I think it is funny when people "hate" on good teams. These same people didn't like the Bulls during the Jordan years, didn't like the lakers during the shaq/Kobe years, didn't like the cowboys during their years. Why is it so popular to hate on these great great teams?

I look at it this way. I love watching the pats, I'm thankful i'm alive right now to witness first hand what they are doing. It is perfection, it is an art, I can tell my kids about it one day. Great teams like this don't come around very often. As a fan of the NFL and sports in general, I appreciate what they are doing and look forward to them going undefeated.

Stop the hating. It shows poor character.

I do think the Pats will lose though. Some team is going to come out of nowhere and beat them.

This be why the Brady led Pats have more rings than the Manning led Colts. ;)

FWIW - I found the Pats' actions this past week unnecessary, but hey it's the pro level. So what.

I don't want to see anybody get hurt but if they want to take the risk then let them.

LOL. I've never understood this... these guys are paid millions in the entertainment industry, and they're supposed to stop entertaining based on the score?

In addition, did any of you watch the Titans/Texans game? Once you take your foot off the gas, it's not that easy to put it back on. You play the game to win. Considering the odds of picking up a fourth-and-inches if you're the Patriots are about 99.9 percent... why should they go away from both what the paying customers want to see as well as what's in their best interests as an offense?

I think Sunday will be a close game, but... I'd be ecstatic if the Patriots embarrass the Colts by 20+. And preferably throw in a fourth quarter TD while up 20, just for good measure. :)

Baseball isn't based on time. Teams always rest their studs during the 4th quarter in basketball when the game is out of hand. Michael Jordan sat out entire 4th quarters repeatedly. Basketball also has a shot clock and you are forced to shoot to keep the game going. In football you can punt, kick a field goal, etc.

hmm I'm not saying that Brady DESERVES to be injured for running up the score. I'm not even saying that they shouldn't run up the score. I'm saying that he's gonna get himself injured if he continues to stay out there and run 4th down conversions when they up 44-0 in the 4th.

again, i'm not advocating that he get hurt as some sort of justice or karma. i'm simply asking a legit question based on how his OPPONENTS feel watching them do that to their team. get the diff? This isn't a "are Pats classless" thread, it's a thread about the in game consequences of their actions, REGARDLESS of your opinion of it.

I have fun watching the Pats blow people out. They score with such easy and precision it's a thing of beauty. To me, the fact that they can run up the score is an indictment on the rest of the league. I hope teams don't resort to cheap shots.

If it is within the rules, I don't care if the PATS run the score is up. If it is allowed, then they can do it. It's not classless. It's called "practicing for the next game" :D.

Now, launching yourself at anyone's knees at any point of the game just to HURT THEM BADLY, that's classless. :( Stop hatin' people better than the rest. STOP THEM WITH YOUR DEFENSE if you're going to get mad that they run up the score.

ehh...dont know about it showing poor character. people like parity, makes it more entertaining. college football has been great because of it this year. when teams constantly dominate, it just bores everyone.

A few years ago I was upset about the same thing, when the Colts were up 42-7 on the Texans, and were throwing bombs with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

I was upset at the time, but later figured out, well, the Texans suck, Playoffs are coming up, so the Colts are just trying to get momentum on their side.

If the Pats want to run up the score (which I love, btw) then then let them.
If someone decides they want to stop them, so be it.

If someone wants to take a shot at Brady (in the "strike zone"), go for it. It happens all the time in the NFL, you may get fined, or less likely, suspended, for a late-ish hit on Brady in the chest or gut. Just don't cheap shot, head or legs. No matter if I love or want the QB playing dead, you never go for the legs or head. That's a career ender in either direction.

    All in all, go Patriots.
