If he continues to play this kind of D, and people still hate on him for his D. Then who gives a sh** what the idiots think!? As long as we are winning they can all go kick rocks.

You're selling Beard short on his defense. It's been much better than competent. He's closer to 1st Team All-Defense than average.

Well that [ESPN Insider] Truth About Harden's Defense article sure doesn't help, even tho it's load of crap. Poor guy's bustin his ass this year and still can't can any respect, defensively.

I respond with facts...like Harden currently leading the entire NBA in win shares and how he is top 10 in the NBA in steals.

I know the knuckle draggers that usually respond to NBA articles are a waste of breath arguing with, but I also know that people who can be educated and are open minded also occasionally read the comments.

Just doing my little bit to change the perception one fan at a time.

They should acknowledge his improvement but 20 games doesn't make up for 3 years. Give it time.

So I decided to take a look at the NBA leaders for Defensive Win Shares and Defensive Rating over on basketball-reference.com...

James Harden is 1st and 5th, respectively. That is wildly impressive to me (despite the natural skews associated with those rankings).
