My mom made bad grades in school because her stepfather made all her and all her brothers and sisters work picking cotton, because that's what broke ass poor people still do in many parts of Texas. Neither my mother or anyone I ever saw in Robstown is black and the phrase is still common in rural South Texas where people are 1. overwhelmingly hispanic and 2. grow cotton if they have money and 3. pick it if they don't.
I think if getting rid of the announcer was because of this comment, it is unfortunate and was a poor decision. I feel bad for the guy.
people do that? I thought that thread was just for any follower of trump doing racial things. let me check the "trumpanzee thread"
It doesn't bother me too much personally. Words and names are not near as offensive to me as actions but people who use/used the term "Trumpanzee" are some of the most butthurt people there are when it comes to political correctness.
