Agreed. If my workplace gave me a guaranted multi-million contract...I'd be yelling all the time.
When the big three got together in Miami there were having a miserable start then did a players meeting. Somehow got there roles established and turn around the season Not saying we the Heat but I think this will be good for the players to figure out thing out among themselves and see if they actually play together for the rest of the season
It shows that the players care about winning. Way back in the 2008-2009 season, before Rockets went on their 22-win streak, they were playing bad until Chuck Hayes called a players-only meeting and got things sorted out. And they went on a tear. Now this team will need more than meetings to begin playing better. For one, Morris started shooting better again. And our first half vs. DEN, we were competitive. So continue pluggin' in there.

this isnt clashing, it's learning. We should be glad if our players are starting to feel comfortable enough to call each other out on their short-comings. It's a great way to grow and get better. It also means feelings are involved; they want to win. The Lakers don't have the same situation. They aren't young and trying to grow together. Most of the players on that team are to stubborn to listen to each other's advice. Dwight will continue to get mad and say his teammates don't look for him and it's not his fault. He gets the ball more than Kobe would like him to, and he screws up way to often. I've seen it.
No kidding! I read that Fox column and wondered who this Daryl Morey guy was that the fellow wrote about, because he didn't resemble the Daryl Morey who's the GM of the Rockets. In an alternate universe, maybe, but not the GM parked in the Houston of our planet, our Houston Rockets.
I think it's just harder for young players to play together. They're all looking to make a name for themselves(and big pay dirt). They were all coming off of being super awesome in college and think highly of themselves. They let emotions dictate their play. They're not mature enough to look at themselves when things go bad. In general, they all have the problem of being really, really young. It becomes more obvious when you put these guys with Delfino. Delfino is having probably the best season of his career. And he's doing so while executing his coach's plan perfectly. In fact, he's the poster boy for why Morey wants the Rockets to shoot gazillion 3s. Here's a guy who's never been an elite 3pt shooter or volume scorer. Except now he's shooting 3s more and scoring more per-minute than ever before, and more efficiently than ever before. Give the other guys 2-3 years to grow, and they'll figure things out.
This was complete sarcasm. I believe any meeting where true emotions spill out will be healthy. Especially 2 games ago when we the team looked completely lost.
and further you have probably never played in the NBA. and further people yell at each other in sports all the time. and further never make that silly ass comparison ever again
And further I've already said it was a sarcastic response to a stupid thread. And further, when did you all get so uptight? And further sheesh...
i think in sports it is more surprising if players DONT have a closed door meeting during a losing streak (esp the first one of the year) .. team do this ALL THE tIME and no trade results from it .... no need to make an issue where there is no issue... also since this was a closed door meeting .. if there was a issue resulting from it, we would not have heard about it. the end
