I also cannot see this starting lineup is a lot better than last year. what I wish now is that Rockets will try to trade Howard (It was proved that when he was on court, the team always lost points) for a younger BF. Then the team will be more competitive.

Im sorry what kinda fan ru dude plz before the draft we were all fine with snagging brewer or carney and we all would have said yea do the trade but just because rudy gay fell to us everyone got in a panic and flipped out this was an Ok deal because we r a team that can win now if we can add gooden who is a very good player man yall can hate on him plz the guy gives you 12 and 8 and great D and MJ who we all noe what he can do we are set to make a legit run at a title you all seem to forget so fastly the scrubs we had around here when we won 55+ games 2 years ago so all of you except DD and a few others need to chill and watch the offseason closly because we r right there on the brink of a championship team never under estimate a team that can win 35 games when its 2 superstars play less than half the season we all noe even with the horrible roster from a year ago if you parlae the games ming n mac played together over 82 they still would have won about 55 to 60 games chill plz!

i'm a fan, but i'm not a homer and i don't have rose colored glasses.
how are we going to get drew gooden and mike james? we're already suppose to be bringing over V-Span with part of our MLE and we just traded away one of our more tradable assets in Swfit.

p.s. i had trouble reading through your post because of your horrible spelling and grammar.

I would also like to add that draftexpress gives the rockets an A for their work to get battier all yuo rockets managment haters would also like to noe that they did have a deal to get brandon roy the deal was that and this is from draftexpress not just making it up that the twolves would select brandon roy at the 6 and they did and the rockets would select randy foye at the 8 if he was available however portland apparantly caught wind of it and took foye so the rockets couldnt get roy! I really dont like it when people make un-informed opinions about things they noe nothing about the rockets did not like gay and they found a good deal to get rid of him and they did do everything in their power to add roy so plz dont hate on our great organization!

Sorry about the grammar but we are not bringing over v-span cd has all but spelled that out. Mj is coming here for the mle barring a shocking revalation.
Gooden could probalbly be had for the te, sura and a future pick thats not to much to ask for a young player of his caliber. But dude what do you have to say about the fact that we would have won 55+games again this season with a horrible roster im trying to shed light on the fact that a team with players of Ming AND Macs caliber are almost capable of winning by their selves they need just a little help!

    Young grasshopper,
    Can Dirk guard Novak? :D

It seems as if Dirk will be a Battier assignment...

News flash the only people that even considered they wanted Brewer or Carney simply had never even watched them play.

That was just some fanboy pipe dream concocted on this board.

Brewer is so overrated here it's pathetic.

So you aren't really making a legit argument that because Battier is better than Brewer that somehow people need to stop comlaining about the trade. Basically fans here were hyping up a guy that is nowehere near as good as they think.

Personally I LOVE that we have Battier on the team now, he could turn out to be our Robert Horry for Yao and T-Mac, I'm not against getting Battier, that is a very good pickup, my problem is what it took to get him and the fact that the team would have been much better served to NOT make the trade.

It's really hard to see how anyone could think this was a good deal by the Rockets, nevermind Stro, but if Gay even reaches 85 percent of his upside, this trade is going to hurt badly, not to mention what happens if T-Mac is damaged goods and Gay becomes a star.

This could be the sort of trade that has team Yao asking for a trade in a couple years so please stop looking at things from the mindset of total homerism.

JVG likes veterans, but there is a huge difference between "very old" veterans and "normal" veterans. Mutombo, Wesley and Sura are too old, that 's for sure! I hope we can get some good players with some "sign and trade" deals, for example with the Free Agents Bogans and Wesley. I think Brunson and Mutombo (maby we can trade him for his last year, it would be meanly but that 's NBA) will retire. I hope Frahm will stay, he is young, cheap and a good shooter! Houston can trade the next players: Lampe, Howard, Bowen and Head. By the way, Bowen is a joke and a disgrace for the Rockets uniform when you check his CAREER AVERAGES!

We could sign Free Agents as Speedy Claxton (PG), Matt Harpring (SG/SF), Jermaine Jackson (SG), Kelvin Cato (C/PF) and Lorenzen Wright (PF/C)! And Jonathan Bender (PF/C) thats been waived away by Indiana + Darius Washington (PG).

    Starting Linup:

    PG: Alston/Claxton/Washington
    SG: Harpring/Battier/Jermaine Jackson/Frahm
    SF: Tmac/Battier/Harpring/Novak
    PF: Wright/Hayes/Bender/Novak
    C: Yao/Cato

I know Lorenzen Wright is not the best PF and plays center at Memphis, but when you look to his career averages you will see he is pretty good on the offensive side and he is a good rebounder! And because JVG like veterans, he is one! Jermaine Jackson is also a veteran and could back up Harpring and Battier as SG!

The only thing I don 't know if Houston will have the money for this players?

Battier will not be the starting 2. My guess is he'll be the 4 possibly the 3 moving TMac to the shooting guard. It'll be based on night to night matchups. But he will not be the starting 2.

They do not. You would need to have about $0 in salary committed to sign all of those players.
