51 wins and a playoffs appearance. Fifth seed, no less. Pretty darn good, really.

Which as far as Rosen is concerned, is nothing.

You guys need to read more Rosen. I'm not surprised by anything that comes out of him anymore. The guy rips on everyone except Phil Jackson and himself, contradicts himself all the time, and gives the same scouting report for everyone in the league.

Everything adds up to another disappointing season for T-Mac and Yao in Houston.

everything he said in his outlook was wrong, he said we lack quickness at the point? but i think alston and head are pretty quick, and when he explains alston he says he pushes the ball and runs forever...

Hey guys, i just emailed that clown and this is what i said.

"Hey I'm not sure if you know much about the rockets offense, but most of the plays for Mcgrady are motion plays off of screens where he catches and shoots or drives. Also Van Gundy blames himself after every single loss, how is that arrogant? Maybe you have some reasons behind your accusations, maybe you should state them. How about some love for a 51 win team that will undoubtedly improve this season by at least 5 wins. Also you said that Van Gundy hasn't accomplished anything? Im pretty sure the Eatesrn Conference Championship is something most coaches in that conference might want to have on their resume."

From all of his columns, the only thing that matters to him is championships. Oddly enough, Mr. CBA doesn't have any...

If any team besides the Spurs wins it, he'll be licking their boots before the champaigne cork pops.

PJax was always sniping at JVG in the Knicks days. Rosen is PJax' spear carrier. You do the arithmetic (math is too deep for this one).

Charlie has zero cred. He's the Op-Ed type with Odd-Ed abilities.

Whether Rockets fans, Mavs fans (or anyone but Spurs fans), the reaction here is exactly why Rosen writes they way he does. He enjoys offending people and having them dissect and discuss his predictions. We are playing right into his hands. I'm sure the next time he disses the Rockets, we will discuss it ad nauseum like this column.

Yeah, Rosen is an idiot. When we suprise some people come playoff time, we can send this article right back to him. Let them talk, the Rockets will bring it. :D

Other than his slobering on Dampier and his yao bashing (I think he has his descriptions reversed), I don't see a lot wrong with his assessments on our team. Is Wesley not a better 2 than one but he's too short? Has Swift not been an underacheiver? Does Tracy not need to get the ball in better positions then when the clock is running out? Doesn't he need rest? Is moochie not too erratic for anything but a blowout? Don't we all question whether DA can stay healthy? Isn't JB a valuable substitute? Isn't JH a llackluster defender thus our need for Swift? Is LB not a 6'8" powerhouse? Does Rafer not have questions about him based on last season but has a world of potential? Is Deke not an ageless wonder? Doesn't Yao lack aggessiveness? Are there not at least three threads on each of these topics on this board questioning these very things? While I hope all our questions are answered in a positive light for this season, I don't have a problem with a national writer questioning the same things we do on here. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if he may have got some of his info from our board.

HEY, I understand and I was just counting the minutes until DEVILS ADVOCATE showed up.....but we had needs after last season......CD did a absolute bang up job of not only filling every need to the best of his ability, but also not strangling our cap in the process.....how in the world can anyone on the planet say we haven't improved an any area regardless of what we have seen thus far.....if stro just plays average its an upgrade in athletisism and blocks at the four and da and rafer are no brainers as far as our guards.......

I just wrote a reply to his article saying that I was going to enjoy sending him copies of his opinion of Houston as the season continues. I also told him lazy, arrogant, and stupid was no way to go through life or start the season.

    You think he'll reply?

    :D
