GS is gonna be the 1 seed...so either in the 2nd round if we end up as the 4th seed, or WCF if we end up as the 2nd or 3rd seed

I like the way the rockets are playing right now on both sides my friends.

This is a special roster with a truley special alltime great operating at his peak(maybe not lol) who clearly the best player in the entire nba by a pretty wide gap imo.

We got the parts we got the king of the court we got the coach.

    It’s time.

This is what makes sports great.

How awesome would the narrative and story be for houston to rally and beat GS and win the championship this season after all the injuries and oddball stuff that happened the first half of the year.

    Health is key.

17-3 in the last 20 best point difference in the league top 3 offense and defense in that stretch.

If you just look at the optics houston and the bucks are the two bests teams in the game by far right now.

And houston is healthier and has a lot less questions when I comes to playoff basketball.

Plus harden while he’s had his troubles in the post season is much better equipped to do work in the playoffs series with his skill set then Giannis.

On another note how good would harden and Giannis be as a 1-2 punch?

Talk about the new age kobe and Shaq with even more diverse skill sets.

    Wow.

Last part is fantasy disregard that lol.

    Spurs sucking big time now.

Where's Dmo, did they waive him already? Or just the 15th wheel?

What’s this about the rockets controlling their own destiny for a top 3 seed? We lost the tie breaker to Portland and are tied in loss column...

Portland plays Denver twice. If the Rockets win out, there is no scenario where both Denver and Portland can beat the Rockets for the #3 spot. If Portland wins both, the Rockets beat Denver for #3. If Portland loses either game the Rockets beat them in the loss column.

In fact with the beat down of the Clips tonight, the Rockets have a real shot at #2 seed.

    Nuggets are likely win 55.

    What happens if 54?

If the Rockets win out they will get no lower than the third seed. Portland and Denver play each other twice next. No matter how those two games turn out the Rockets would get the third seed or the second seed if they win out.

If Denver wins both games —

    2. Denver
    3. Houston
    4. Portland

If Portland wins both games —

    2. Houston
    3. Denver
    4. Portland

    If they split —

    2. Denver
    3. Houston
    4. Portland

This is assuming that both Denver and Portland wins the rest of their other games which is not a given since Denver has a game against Utah in Utah left. The Rockets do own the head to head tie breaker over Denver.

The only thing we can really control is the effort and hopefully, we execute and win out. I'd love for us to go out and beat GS in GS.

If Portland and Houston win out, doesn't Portland move ahead of Houston? Also, what if there is a 3 way tie?

If a 3 way tie, Portland loses tiebreaker to Denver for division and Denver loses tiebreaker to Houston. Would end up: 2 Houston, 3. Denver 4. Portland

If Portland beats Denver in both of the back to back and they both win the rest of their games it's a three way tie and in that scenario the Rockets would get the second seat because they own the multiple team tie breaker with their division champ and tie breaker over Denver.

If Portland beats Denver twice and Denver loses another one against Utah Portland would move ahead the Rockets with the head to head tie breaker and the Rockets would get the third seat. Denver would be fourth.

First things first -- we have to win out the rest of our games including the final game at OKC.

Rockets now have a magic number of 1 to clinch at least the 4 seed and home court in the 1st round. Just need 1 win or 1 Utah loss.

Assuming we beat Phoenix (Booker also came out of the game after 8 minutes with an injury, not sure if/how serious it is though) and NY, the last game against OKC has the chance to decide where we end up and who's going to face the Warriors between the Spurs and the Thunder so, that's probably going to be a big game.

With the Rockets win over the Clippers tonight, the Rockets clinched the 5th seed (can be no worse than 5th).
