Is the post in question this one? MM, Yeah, being content with what we got should win us the title . Have a nice day in dream land. I don't see a thing wrong with it. This team is still a few players away, never mind the years from being able to compete with the Lakers and the Blazers. MM-What players exactly did you use for those stats? And how many MPG per team? Now, I'll show a little statistical musing of my own. Average Margin of Victory: Lakers:8.6 Rockets:-0.9 The Lakers lead in that category by a difference of 9.5. 10 points make a HUGE difference in a game, and take a look at the passing numbers. Kobe's not getting enough credit. Last year, the Lakers starting backcourt was probably just as good as the Rockets' starting backcourt. Backcourt points among starters: Lakers: 29.5 Rockets: 30.3 Backcourt rebounds among starters: Lakers: 10.5 Rockets: 10.0 Backcourt assists among starters: Lakers: 8.3 Rockets: 9.5 Backcourt minutes (total average): Lakers: 63.7 Rockets: 69.0 Backcourt games: Lakers: 146 Rockets: 159 The Rockets had over 5 minutes more, managed 0.8 more points, 1.2 more assists (and LA had no true PG) and .5 LESS rebounds. Hardly a decisive edge, and especially considering one of the Lakers is 36, and the defensive gap between Bryant-Harper and Shandon-Francis is VERY large. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
NIKEstrad--You have to also remember that Shandon also played SF. Cuttino if added is our major weapon that beats the Lakers backcourt. The Lakers only really have Fisher and George of the bench and they are no match for Moochie and Cat. But NIKEstrad do you mean we need a better backcourt as in replacements? I don't think you do but it would be just plain stupid to think that as I think we do have the best backcourt in the NBA. Taking in mind that Shandon, Francis and Cuttino have only had their first year starting in the NBA at their suited positions. I remember Bryant wasn't great for a start but has gotten better and now averages 22 PPG. With three players the Rockets have with the potential they have they would easily beat the Lakers. I added up all the frontcourt players averages on the Lakers and Rockets but I didn't include Charles Barkley and Devin Gray on the Rockets to make it even numbers for both teams. And that were players from last seasons roster. ------------------ Miggidy Markell says: 1. Eastcoast is da sh*t 2. Rockets rule 3. Hip/Hop is dope 4. Buy the new Ruff Ryders album!
