The Rockets were the #1 defensive team with Yao, and they're the #1 defensive team without him, so I don't expect much of a setback (if any) on the defensive front when he comes back. The only advantages that we have minus Yao are in turnovers and on the offensive boards, but most of that gets offset by his highly efficient scoring. If we can just continue to keep out turnovers down even when Yao comes back, this team can go very far. And if Tracy continues to play like a top 10 player, and Yao plays like a top 10 player, then the sky's the limit for this team.
shane's the best perimeter defender i've ever seen on the rockets. including maxwell. i don't know if he's always been this good or if he's also excelling in van gundy's defensive system but he is awesome to watch on the defensive end.
Exactly, and that is why he was chosen to be on team USA for international competition over that dude on the spurs' team
