Reading between the lines from CD's comments in the paper today.

When Head is in the game with Spanoulis. Head will play SG and Spanoulis PG on offense. On defense Head would cover the pg and Spanoulis would cover the SG. I can see those 2 playing together coming off the bench.

As the roster stands, here is the depth chart:

    PG - Alston, Spanoulis, Head
SG - McGrady, Snyder, Head, Spanoulis
SF - Battier, McGrady, Bowen, Snyder
    PF - Howard, Battier, Hayes
    C - Yao, Mutombo

If Novak and Lucas are signed, they slip in at the 3rd SF and PG, respectively.

and we could put TMac at the 4, since he may log minutes there when we play Dallas.

Looks like we need another backup center. We've got at least 3 guys who can play each of the other positions.

i agree, wed be in a lot of trouble if either yao or deke got injured. we definitly need an insurance c/pf. but with the bar raised so high with nene im a little worried. even drrew gooden is waiting on nene type money. *sigh* well just have to wait and see. the lack of decent big men left on the market is a little disturbing.

pollard- great hustle player, lacking on offense
olowokandi- definitly a draft bust, but still a decent center
melvin ely- young and athtletic, just not sure if we have the $$$
cato- would make a great 3rd string center ;)
