Not that it means a ton, but Daniels was hitting everything from behind the arc in warmups. Beautiful stroke. As advertised.
and in related news...our starters outscored the Miami heat starters 91-56.... life is a matter of perspective.... lol
WTF, why is everyone discounting Lin's efforts all of a sudden? The dude is in a shooting slump and can't seem to make a good decision on the offensive end, but his defensive effort has been solid. Whatever the reason, Canaan isn't even close to the answer
Yep, they will have to get a lot better. It's quite clear that we will send a starter or two along with 3-4 bench players at all times on the court.
Beastley 10pts against our bench and 14pts against starters. Ray Allen 11pts against our bench and 2pts against starters. Cole 2pts against our bench and 3pts against starters. Andersen 5pts against our bench and 0pts against starters. Miami bench scored 28pts against our bench and 19pts against our starters. Our bench played 57:49 minutes total against against Miami bench 97:07 minutes.
Pretty simple move the bench to starters and move starters to the bench. Then we'll still win the game. Wait a sec, seriously WTF!!!
You can add all the qualifiers you want, but in the end +/- tell the story. Starters averaged ~+15 Bench averaged ~-15 When the bench players are in, the Rockets sucked.
Beasley's huge game off the bench is the main culprit for the poor +/- numbers. I expect next time we'll be paying more attention to him.
Bench is looking horrid lately. Asik/Lin looks like they don't want to be here, no fire in their games. It's looking like they're out there just to be out there. Dmo was garbage tonight, he's too up and down. If you can't show up for a game like this against the World champs, how are you going to get up for a Playoff game?
I think people are missing the point of the thread. The 44-15 is an abstraction of what was going on in the game. The bench looked absolutely LOST offensively in this game. Lin was walking around and going through the motions, and when he sped things up was sloppily turning the ball over. Hamilton was forced to attack the basket from awkward angles, rather than from smooth clean cuts. It was a mess. Hamilton is a great off the ball player, but we need someone that can run that second offense. I hope it would have been Lin, like it has been early on in the season but he's gone. I don't know what the **** happened to him, but at the moment he is NOT a viable option.
+/- is lineup data, not player data. If you know much about miami, the contributing factor is in bold.
Scouting report had him listed as 'probably high, leave the stoner open', he mustn't have been blazin last night... I wonder how hard he has to fight them demons when he plays in Denver.
we should had played Casspi instead of Dmo. Casspi is a better Shooter and a much better perimeter defender then Dmo. remember just last game Casspi put 16 point in 15 min.
I'm not surprised. This system is primary iso, no way role players can get into a groove. Every man for themselves.
