I have no recollection of Chilcutt getting significant minutes in the playoffs. Damn. If he took 36 threes he played some decent minutes.
Most and almost all came in the first round against the Jazz. Horry started to take over PF role more and more as the playoffs advanced.
The best role players ever Mario Elie - helped Spurs win a title Cassell - All Star PG helped resurrect teams like the bucks, wolves, and clippers Horry - the best role player of all time bar none 7 championships, highlights that will stay in your mind forever
Its amazing how guys can talk about the past with the 94-96 seasons and the things players did back then but if some guys talk about what Francis did for this team and what McGrady did or Yao has done it turns out to be a big argument. Unbelievable
Can you ask me an easier question like "do fish swim?" or "do they use cheese on macaroni and cheese?" -2 NBA Championships -2 NBA Finals MVPs -1 MVP, Defensive Player of the Year -1 First championships in Houston history -1 Greatest playoff run in NBA history -2 Hometown heroes winning championships for the hometown you find something better than (above) and Tracy in Orlando doesn't count. it didn't count in Orlando either.
well, he didn't turn into the famous player until Rudy sent him and Bullard to the Pistons for Sean Elliot. he learned from that experience not to hesitate on an open shot.
Well all i want to ask you is why are you living in the past. A while back you told me stop living in the past and dreaming that one day McGrady will become is Orlando self again. I want to say the same thing. Stop living in the past. Yeah the Rockets won back 2 back but that was YEARS ago. Its a new age now. Now its time for them to win it this time around.
Why are you on this thread anyway? you know its called "Our AMAZING Shooting in the 95 Playoffs" If you don't like this thread and want it shut down, please tell Clutch that somebody started another thread glorifying his favorite team of all time.
I never knew that certain threads were meant for certain members but you need to and should take your own words for advice I should ask you why are you on every McGrady thread. If you so called dislike him then why are you breaking your neck to post on every single thread that pops up.
The last tmac thread was a video of him in orlando and the thread said that kobe couldn't guard him. I merely posted the rest of the story, that kobe did switch on him on the 4th/overtime and he only scored 5 points and kobe won, and kobe score more points, and kobe went to the finals while tmac led his team to one of the worst records in the league threads are for all members, if the thread is about tmac, i'll talk about tmac. if the thread is about our amazing run in 95, then that's what i'll talk about it. YOU asked me why we glorify 95 and I gave you my answer. and you asked why we don't glorify Tmac, Francis as much as we do Dream etc... you still can't figure that part out? Do Laker fans glorify the Nick Van Excel era more than the Magic Johnson era?
So your telling me your happy?? Yeah they won 14 years ago and your still bringing it up?? Last but not least i didn't ask you why don't we glorify McGrady etc etc so stop putting words in my mouth.
I dont want to take anyone's side here but its true with the Magic Johnson/Van Exel Comment - I doubt Dallas people stopped talking about Troy Aikman when Quincy Carter or Drew Bledsoe was leading the team. True, individual players on any team any era can get praised or slammed, with personal biases playing a big part in the opinions. To be fair to this thread, its a thread about an entire TEAM. One that satisfied far more fans than follow-up Rockets teams.
Dear IceHouse, I'm sorry the Tmac fans have derailed your thread. Apparently they feel some type of jealousy that you are pointing out an amazing part of Houston Rockets history that doesn't include Tmac.

Don't get me started on that team, I could get tearful. No doubt, the sports highlight of my life so far. I can't ever remember enjoying sporting events more than watching the Rocket's championship teams. And it was the "hot" outside shooting that turned the Beast loose on the inside (the zone defense may have been illegal, but teams still got away with it). You can't stop an inside/outside game like that. And they didn't.
