Our #2 draft pick "Jalen Green" seems to have a ceiling of . . .Gerald Green

Having played in a professional league I expected him to come out looking better, but it’s SO early. He needs a full year before we even begin to think about judging him.

Is that all he played? If so then I set me expectations too high.

 

Lol at the people on this board, the dudes not even old enough to drink yet and has only play 6 regular season games. I understand we haven’t drafted a player in the top 5 of the NBA draft in years but the last time we did it was Yao and even he struggled early in his rookie season, hell Rudy didn’t even feel comfortable starting him the first 10 games and gave him a minutes restriction. Just relax and let the kid grow

 

I think a lot of fans here became Rocket fans in like Harden's second season here. So many just don't know what a rebuilding team looks like or what a 19 year old high prospect rookie looks like in the NBA.

Chris Duarte's 18 ppg have been upper echelon or ceiling so far. That is not all that crazy.

The bar is not that high this year so it seems.

I don’t think that’s right. I think more GMs would have gone with Mobley and definitely enough that it wouldn’t be “almost every team” preferring Green. I think Mobley was voted by GMs as most likely to be the best player out of this draft. Maybe a couple would have gone with Barnes.

 

Let's be honest, if they came during Harden they probably don't really know the difference between "All Star" and "One of a kind all time great who is the only person to get away with hero ball as a full time strategy." These are the same people who don't want Wall to play because they think he'd make us a play in team. It's gonna suck for them people when they realise that even when we get a legit all star, the chances of it being a new Harden are next to nothing.

 

If Levine is his ceiling, that is pretty good, not like an all time great player, but still pretty good.

You can build a team around Lavine (see: this year). Patience is key.

 

yeah Lavine is an all around solid player, even his playmaking is up, I would be very happy if Green can be a 27,5,5 player with 60+ TS% and 40+ 3pt%
