Fair enough. I still say, despite all evidence to the contrary, that they beat whoever they play in the BCS, unless it's Maryland or Illinois...then they get their asses kicked.

LOL You're scared of the Terapins huh?

I hope we get to see UT vs Miami or Florida cause I just wanna see if Simms is for real. Plus it would be nice for a Texas school to win a title. It's been a while or something.

I'm not scared of them, I just think we'd lose for some reason.

I would guess OU has played at the Cotton Bowl about 50 to 60 times, if not more. I'm sure they know the surroundings. I don't see it as home field advantage for Texas becuz they both drive the same distance and have the same # of fans. Dallas is home to the largest OU alumni base.

It's a nuetral game through and through. 35,000 OU fans, 35,000 UT fans. Now, a true home field advantage would be 68,000 UT fans and 2,000 OU fans.

I could be mistaken, but I think that Memorial Stadium is now grass where OU's and the Cotton Bowl are turf. If this is the case if anything the game is neutral-to-slight OU's advantage. Regardless to the playing surface, as others have said it is about as neutral a game as there is.

The Big 12 has the best group elite teams. Having 4 of the top 9 BCS teams is quite remarkable. I would agree from top to bottom the SEC is the best however. The Big East is crap, the is only 1 top 15 BCS team, Miami. There 2nd best team got completely manhandled by the 2nd best SEC team, and also got beat by the 3rd best ACC team. Nonethless, if Miami wins out of course they deserve to go to the Rose Bowl, but if the lose to VTech, they should, and will, be cooked. I do give Miami credit for trying to schedule good non-conference games, who knew Penn State would suck even in a weak conference while FSU and Washington would be closer to mediocre than typical. I am sure when those nonconference games were scheduled, they were as tough as anybodies. Though they should play Florida instead of PSU in the future.

They are playing Florida next year and maybe the year after that. Miami used to play Florida every season, but after 1987 they quit playing each other. I don't know the full story, so I'm not going to say that Florida got tired of Miami beating them, but Montana State and Indiana State were easier games for them then Miami.

The only reason why Florida is playing Miami these next 2 seasons is this option that allows I-A teams to schedule 12 regular season games. My understanding is that without this option, this game would have never happened.
