Is the "Myer's is untouchable" line just a smokescreen to drive up his value? Myer's has been money all season, he's pitched better than Roy has. If Drayton wasn't such a stubborn old fool he'd be doing a fire sale.

The Astros did so at Oswalt's request. He wanted the opportunity to break the record in Houston. As to not facing other teams' aces, what do you consider Cueto of the Reds, you know the guy that leads the Reds in wins, Ks and ERA? Also, considering how bad the Pirates are, Maholm is probably their ace.

how would marking somebody as untouchable drive up their trade value?

Because, as we all know, Richard Justice is never wrong.

I don't know... I just can't fathom Myers being untouchable for any reason.

Not really driving up his value per se but maybe "he's untouchable unless you "overwhelm" us with an offer."

Can his value go higher? Not sure it will or can.

After his last outing, I don't want him to pitch again until we trade him haha

Yeah, had a nice game. Career high in K's I believe? Obviously makes sense to move him but I personally wont be mad if we dont, even with me saying his value probably wont be higher, heh. Can't explain myself on that one

Texas is an exciting team to watch, if they were not from Texas (or if I were not an Astros fan) I'd be rooting for them.

I'm sure Keppinger is probably going to be traded as well. I think we should seriously think about trading Pence to the rays for some good prospects.

If they bring us prospects, I would love to see this.

That would be fantastic, Rays and Phillies sending back prospects would be PERFECT!
