lol @ Brendan Ryan I know he came off some kind of injury but he's been one of the worst players in baseball this season. Can't hit, can't field... can't even cut off his pornstache.
The stache has destructive powers when it is on the area between the nose and the mouth for too long.
Haha. I'm repeating myself from previous posts in this thread but the Cardinals just dont seem like a good trading partner from our end. They have one good prospect in Miller and then who? I guess I'm asking, who would you's want from the Cardinals that is 1) realistic(we actually have a shot at getting) 2)that you would be satisifed with. ie Roy Oswalt for [player x], [player y], [player z] and "I'm happy with what we walked away with".
Oswalt willing to rework deal if traded to STL. http://twitter.com/AmyKNelson/status/19349308607 From a previous report about Ryan/Jay: http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pl...news.asp?sport=MLB&id=3191&line=298211&spln=1 From Justice's blog: http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/
Yanks getting into the fray is great news. Not sure what the Dodgers have in terms of prospects, I believe their farm is real thin, but the more teams bidding, the better.
MDavidColeman(from Crawfish boxes) Dodgers would need Astros to pick up rest of 2010 salary, but are okay with the rest of Oswalt's contract, according to Stark
I don't think the Yankees like Oswalt enough to give up their impact prospects. I'd say there is no way they offer up Montero for Oswalt, and if you aren't getting Montero there isn't much else in terms of bats that worthwhile.
I don't think they do, either. I just like the fact that their name is back in the mix. The more teams involved, the better.
the more the merrier with the bidding, i say. even if they ultimately won't give that up, the illusion that they might could help us otherwise.
Wade should deal both Brett Myers and Matt Lindstrom. Neither guy's trade value will ever be higher. Astros aren't going to be any good for the next few years anyways. The relief trade market is terrible and you can probably find a team to overpay for someone like Lindstrom.
I say trade Lindstrom and Berkman to the Rays for prospects, TB needs a left handed power hitter and relief help.....don't think its gonna happen thought
