Exactly... and this is similiar to what the club did for Berkman 3 years ago, to avoid all the arbitration hearings. But, of course, we'll probably get an article from Richard Justice in 2006, saying that we should have locked up Roy long-term when we had the chance... and that he's feeling slighted and all that garbage (which is actually more believable now, considering Berkman's apparent initial stance to play hardball).
