I wouldn't want to pick up any major FAgents because then we start losing picks again but a few veterans guys wouldn't be bad. I like this plan, a lot, and the idea of reuniting with Roy when we are good again as the veteran 3 or 4 seems plausible.

eh, i have learned better than to ever give drayton the benefit of the doubt, but i'd say this means nothing, considering the trade deadline is still more than 2 months away.

Actually not a bad thing, I want them to do a Morey and wait it out. Really think there could be some kind of bidding war for Oswalt by the deadline.
WOW, kind of surprised. It makes sense but with their financial issues I didn't think they would go after Roy.
patience is good, but Roy's back is bad. iirc, he had a cortisone shot prior to the season, thus his strong start. personally, i would like to move him while he's pitching this well and not risk his back needing another shot and teams thinking twice.

Normally, I would agree with this. But Oswalt's value could plummet in a hurry if back problems arise. And then, we would get donut. If the deadline was next week, then that would be one thing. I say we get what we can now, for I have the unfortunate feeling that his health wont hold up all season.
Its May. I wouldn't expect them to be shopping anybody. Mid-Late June, the trade market starts to heat up. I doubt Oswalt goes before mid-July.
