Mrs. Osteen has obviously been attending the Diana Ross Online School of Diva-ship in her spare time.....

As someone who travels frequently, I earned my stripes sitting in coach. These kids have no appreciation of first class. They'll always think the airplane seats are comfortable and drinks are free flowing. They need time in steerage.

Mrs. Osteen is a high paid entertainer and deserves to be shown the proper respect. Maybe she should have made sure the stewardess knew exactly who she was. She should have asked "do you know who I am?"

Maybe it's just me, but nothing seems to spread more glee than the exposure hypocrisy in the self-rightous.

Um first class seats are leather and could quickly be wiped completely clean and dry; strange anyone would defend her bizarre behavior.

Wow! You wrote ALL THIS to defend Mrs. Osteen? You sure you're NOT Joel himself? ;)

You quoted all that just to jab IROC? You gave me a second chance not to bother to read it.

Same here, it's not a big deal, it's not even a debatable topic, it's just 'news' that shouldn't really be news if the MSM had anything better to do.

IROC is definitely overdoing this, people are just poking fun at random things and no one here (besides you may be) seems to be taking this seriously. He responded to KingCheetah's sarcastic (and hilarious, if I might add) comments in a serious manner.

Chill, IROC, he was just joking. And those who might want to use this to deride Christianity somehow are beyond hopeless and only embarass themselves, so pay no attention to them, it's desperation on their part.

A big "who gives a ****??" from me, except that the passengers shouldn't have had their plans disrupted for this woman, and she should have been interrogated by Homeland Security. No one deserves special treatment.

edit: just wanted to add that it's absurd that the staff couldn't get the seat cleaned up, and that I don't care if people fly first class. Why would anyone care, if someone is willing to pay the fair? I just think it's absurd to delay the flight over something like this.

    Keep D&D Civil.

Christians, whether a pastor or a peon, are subject to human frailties. She lost her cool. That being said I am no fan of Joel Osteen's message concerning faith or religion. I enjoy listening to him as a motivator and think he does a lot of good but his message is biblically inauthentic and I don't dig it.

    His wife is a diva.

I have been told by a friend who works at Ch 55, that Osteen owns Channel 55,among other businesses.

The church is just one of his businesses.

He was not dependent on the gift of the tickets from the humble folks at his church.

It looks like she gave herself that chance.

But you're right. I'm sure Ghandi would have complained about is first class seat until he was thrown off a plane too. What are we thinking?

I'm thinking it is pretty weak to lump a religion based on an individual.

We don't do that with Islam on this board.
