In before.. "those were not evacuees. It was just bring your favorite baseball cap day promotion by our friend Joel. As You know Joel is a huge sports fan. Big altuve fan. That's why people weren't dressed. Go stros!"
That's a great description. Its hard to balance spiritual and material life. Me personally I don't think there is a blurred line on the purpose of Christianity. Jesus wants to give you salvation. Not a new job or new car. That being said I'm like 99.99% of the rest of the world in that I want to be comfortable and enjoy material things this world has to offer. I'm not religious so I don't struggle internally about this We are all gonna die one day. When I'm dead I want to be gone
Here is the strange thing . . . . I suspect more of this money gets to Houston Victims of Harvey than the dollars given to the Red Cross Rocket River
That's not a high bar. Admittedly, I didn't think it would be as bad, but the bullshit shey feed you for collecting is face-palm worthy. "Lets sit here, hold hands and pray for your fortunes to return---but for now lets throw some $$ in here."
So are we doing the shame famous/rich people into donating thing with Tilman Fertita or no? I haven't been able to find info on his donating anything (publicly) to those affected by the Hurricane. Maybe I missed when that happened. If anyone has that info, please post and correct me on this. Thx
Much appreciated. I figured I would be wrong as to Tilman donating to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts but I just didn't come across any announcement on such. Thx
As someone that grew up going to a fairly orthodox Catholic Church. I find those kind of videos disturbing in a way. Whatever positivity that comes out of it, great. That's coming from someone that is not Christian in any way now though. I just try my best to be a good person. If there is a god what are the chances it would like people like Olsteen and the pope making money from people??
