You are an idiot. I need to distance myself from this lunatic about as much as you need to distance yourself from Osama Bin Laden.

    The difference is:

You are the one who consistently express anti-Muslim views shared by right wingers like the attacker in Norway, including when you started this thread when you thought the attacker might have been an "Islamic Militant."

I never made any posts here supporting anything similar to Osama bin Laden's views.

Thus, people point to you and laugh when you started this thread, resulting in you making 47 response posts trying to distance yourself from your fellow extremists. Nobody point their fingers at me when there is any attack by actual Islamic militants.

    1) My posts were not anti-Muslim, but anti-Islamic extremists. I see that you are intellectually unable to recognize the difference, just like your fellow ambulance chaser ScamFisher.

    2) As explained 100 times already, I was quoting an article (and its headline). I knew as much as anyone else about the true identity of the attacker. It was a developing story.

    3) That this lunatic hates Muslims (and Social Democrats, and any foreigners, and Nazis (at least he says so in his manifest) and himself, and ....) does not mean that criticism of Islamic extremists is in any way wrong or unwarranted, even though you are making a very transparent attempt to use this event to label anything said in this regard as "anti-Muslim". Just because an idiot or mass murderer recognizes that 2+2 is 4 does not mean it wasn't true when you said that 2+2 is 4.

    1) I am far from an extremist. You are extremely stupid, though.

    2) Anyone who reads my posts can see that I am not "trying to distance myself", but that I am following this ongoing event with interest. I provided factual information in several of my posts. You, on the other hand, just like your small-minded buddy ScamFisher, have nothing better to do than to try and use this event to come in and spew hate and lies.

    3) I detest extremists like this guy (whether he is a Neo-Nazi or whatever one wants to categorize him as) just as much as Islamic extremists. I am disgusted by any kind of extremism. I am also disgusted by you calling me an extremist (on what basis, exactly?) and by your unwarranted smear attempt.

it is up to someone to speak up and speak out against comments like this.

since the OP has done a good job explaining his intents and the timeline in which the info was released, I nominate him...

ATW- do you take this charge?

    thanks in advance.

This is not specifically at you x110.....but since you decided to pile on you are included.

Yall are so quick to jump down SJC's throat for everything he says, why dont one of you do it?

once again yall have ruined a perfectly acceptable thread with your vendettas against the guy. He did nothing wrong here and yet you STILL cant keep from crapping all over this thread. Ive kept quiet on this before, but Im frankly sick of seeing this happen in all threads in this forum. Yall aint chasing him off, this should be apparent by now. Save your indignation for when its deserved.

direct note to SJC...this wouldn't happen as much if you would just ignore all the chaff and respond to people who legitimately want to discuss this.

Face it, nobody wants to discuss this incident itself, you don't look like you want to either.

    Practice what you preach.

Why don't you make things easier and just change the thread title like ATW has asked? I don't think this would be much of a problem if you had done that already.

At first, I actually thought he wanted to make the point that everyone who thought this was committed by Islamists was jumping to conclusions, and that he was mocking them. But it looks like he didn't read the news, or the thread at all. So, it's unlikely that any explanation would reach him.

There's nothing wrong with the discussion here IMO. While I don't really care if ATW jumped to conclusions or not, there are people here who do, and it's a valid topic at the moment. Here's an article discussing a similar issue:

    Here's more:

These are all valid topics, and I fail to see how ths has anything to do with chasing ATW off the board.

I think ATW could have just said "sorry I jumped to a conclusion" or "sorry it was a mistake, I should have worded it myself" rather than "don't blame me, blame microsoft for making it easy to copy/paste and let's disect every post I've made in this thread".

Even he will be the first to admit that he usually hides behind quotes and pictures and titles, etc, to hint at things which he doesn't want to be caught saying.

Obviously I find it a waste of time if it is a witch hunt, but more importantly, I just wish people would not immediately focus on "who to blame, who to blame, the Muslims, the Europeans, bla bla bla" and instead spend more time discussing the actual tragedy.

It's called tribalism, and it's only going to get worse as Europe becomes more diverse. You cannot change human nature, and the evil freak who shot those kids is a bad sign of things to come.

Uhh...with all due respect, if there's a one-issue poster in this forum, it's Sir Jackie and his boner for muslims

Save your indignation for when it's deserved? I'd say jumping the gun and starting yet another anti-muslim thread for an attack perpetrated by anti-muslim extremists qualifies.

Actually this wouldn't happen if the moderators would grow a pair instead of being hypocrites.

Admit it people, you fell for speculative journalism (bad journalism) blaming Islam. It is understandable, UH had plenty of bad journalist in their daily newspaper that would put most speculative journalists to shame. To be honest, the first thing I thought when I heard about the attacks was Norwegian Death Metal.

Looks like you were right here and I was wrong - it wasn't northern european anti-muslim bloggers and posters this guy was inspired by, it was American ones:

Marc Sageman, a former C.I.A. officer and a consultant on terrorism, said it would be unfair to attribute Mr. Breivik’s violence to the writers who helped shape his world view. But at the same time, he said the counterjihad writers do argue that the fundamentalist Salafi branch of Islam “is the infrastructure from which Al Qaeda emerged. Well, they and their writings are the infrastructure from which Breivik emerged.”

“This rhetoric,” he added, “is not cost-free.” [/rquoter]

I'd have to agree with Mr. Sageman on that.

    Agreed.

Free speech can fan the flames of lunacy sometimes, but thankfully these incidents are very rare. Going censorship happy would be a real shame as a result of this. I can already see Jack Thompson giddy at the revelation this guy played violent video games.

I'm honestly shocked this guy was "motivated" by xenophobic freeper bloggers, but then again, we're talking about a lunatic here, so I shouldn't have put that past him.

    Signed, sealed, and delivered.

Much of the issues against SJC are self inflicted.

He may deny his "hatred" for Muslims, but it is clear that he has an 'extreme' interest regarding all muslims.
