Hahahaha. ROTK won't win Cinematography at least, since it wasn't nominated. Thank God for that too. The cinematography was absolutely horrific in ROTK anyway.
Well, either John Schwartzman wasn't there, looks exactly like his brother or the camera guy made a mistake and picked the wrong Schwartzman. That place is just lousy with Coppolas tonight, isn't it?
No, I missed it. Was it good? I've loved everything that Levy has done. I guess I'll have to watch it now.
No, I wasn't just talking about the Best Picture nominees. I've heard a lot of praise for those two; that's all. Haven't heard much about the House of Sand and Fog, but Ben Kingsley is a pretty damn good actor when he isn't taking bit parts in subpar movies. Okay...so I'm basing pretty much all of my opinion of the man on his performance in Gandhi, but still...a very good performance. I really would like to see Lost in Translation, though. I love Bill Murray's comedies(Caddyshack, Caddyshack, umm...Caddyshack), and I think it will be interesting to see him in a new role. I know I'm a few months behind, but it's been a busy for me. Titanic's winning that many Oscars was a travesty. It is by far the worst Best Picture winner that I have ever seen.
For what I read, the screenplay differed quite a bit from the novel, thus got looked over by the Academy.
Titanic is something that I do know. Say what you want to, but it was very historically accurate, and I'm not going to let someone lambast it based on the idiotic subplot. As far as Bill Murray; I've thought he was great since his TV inception. Groundhog Day is a great movie. My sig proves this.
