Yea I am not sure exactly how that judge saw it 115-113 for Oscar... Oscar won MAYBE one round at the most. He was just being dominated, Oscar never got the shots he really wanted. And when he did land something it was never clean or crisp enough to cause any significant damage. Mayweather controlled the tempo from start to finish and he deserved a unanimous decision. I was rooting for Oscar but I knew he wouldn't win unless he got a knockout. I don't think I would care to see a rematch. I would rather see a Oscar/Felix Trinidad rematch. In my opinion Mayweather should have 2 more fights.. one against Cotto (which should be his last) and one against the winner of Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito..(my prediction is Williams by UD). Or who knows maybe a Mosley/Mayweather match up would be good, I think Mosley would win that by decision.
How much crack had you smoked prior to the fight? I ask, because no one not on crack could have thought Oscar won.
Well yeah but if there was no such thing as "Pretty Boy Arthur Floyd" and not a famous song called the "The Ballad of Pretty Boy Floyd" then we'd just call him "no cut mayweather"
I'm supprised it was even this close. As I said many times before DLH is the most overrated boxer of all time. He's all marketing and has never really won a big fight in his life. Lost to Sweat Pea Quartey Trinidad Mosely twice Hopkins Mayweather
LOL, a classic oscar hater. He beat quartey and if you think whitaker won than I guess Lance Armstrong is a great boxer cause all pernll did was get on his bicycle and ride around for a whole match. Sorry but you have to punch somebody if you want to win at boxing, with apologies too Willie Pep. BUt hey if we are going to give our favorite fighters credit for close losses than I say he beat Tito and Mosley. Ha ha sucks to be you.
What are you smoking Sam? DLH must have just tripped on himself chasing Sweat Pea when he got knocked down twice. I guess you must appreciate cycling since you think DLH beat Trinidad. Maybe you should watch the fight again. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eUo3zBkmToo"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eUo3zBkmToo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lnzeSN0lzFI"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lnzeSN0lzFI" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
You make it sound like oscar got dominated in all of those fights... His lost to trinidad is controversial and imo opinion oscar took the rematch against mosely. Hopkins koed him , but you must admit that its pretty impressive how he can hang in there against hopkins and actually win some rds. And personally i think the mayweather fight could' ve been a draw or even a win for oscar, which is impressive for a now part time fighter fighting a boxer whos arguably the p4p top guy today.
Maybe in the later rds floyd landed some jabs, but if you look at the first half of the fights some of the jabs actually got block by delahoya,so its not like it was a quartey fight were oscar really ate a ot of jabs.
I thought so too but don't know much how to judge Refs The other two fights were weak by comparison Rocket River
Rocky Juarez put me to sleep....like he always does in his boring ass fights. Such a shame he is from Houston. I don't see Rocky ever beating anyone good.
ME too . . it was the 1st REAL fight of his I saw all I could think was THROW A D*MN PUNCH!! Maybe even two Batista looked good but still raw . . .he had no killer instinct Rocket River
Ok so if knockdowns are key what does it mean when ODLH obliterated Ike? Oh yes it doesn't count in rockbox fantasy oscar hating land, where he must win by KO or not at all. P.S. - Way to fabricate an extra knockdown vs. Whitaker. There was only one - and even that one was BS as whitaker is pushing him down with his right and Mills lane didn't catch it. Did you honestly think nobody would call you out on that? I guess I will invent a knockdown of Mayweather now and claim he got robbed. Fortunately in fantasy Oscar loving land I just had him beat Henry Armstrong and Sugar Ray Robinson on the same night. Woo hooo!
