Aaron Afflalo going back to Nuggets Edit: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Orlando has agreed to send Arron Afflalo to Denver for Evan Fournier and 56th pick in 2014 Draft, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/482176769303515136">June 26, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Interesting move... I'm surprised by it. I didn't expect the Nuggets to make this kind of move.
[Woj] Afflalo back to Nuggets <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Orlando is finalizing a trade to send guard Arron Afflalo to the Denver Nuggets, league sources told Yahoo Sports.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/482176394483740672">June 26, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So much for that Chicago super team. Great move by the nuggets, I thought he was worth at least a late 1st this draft
Talk about a team without an identity. Besides Ty Lawson, I can't name any other significant AND HEALTHY (jab at Galli) on Denver's roster.
I view it as either resignation on getting a top tier player.... or they think Afflalo has value to Minnesota.
Will this trade be consummated now or in July? Does it take Orlando out of the "please, pleeeeeeeeease, Dan Gilbert, I'll offer you Afflalo, the #4, the #12, for the #1 pick" sweepstakes?
Afflalo: July 13, 2009: Traded by the Detroit Pistons with Walter Sharpe and cash to the Denver Nuggets for a 2011 2nd round draft pick (Vernon Macklin was later selected). August 10, 2012: As part of a 4-team trade, traded by the Denver Nuggets with Al Harrington, a 2013 2nd round draft pick (Romero Osby was later selected) and a 2014 1st round draft pick to the Orlando Magic; the Los Angeles Lakers traded Christian Eyenga, Josh McRoberts and a 2017 1st round draft pick to the Orlando Magic; the Los Angeles Lakers traded Andrew Bynum to the Philadelphia 76ers; the Orlando Magic traded Earl Clark, Chris Duhon and Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers; the Orlando Magic traded Jason Richardson to the Philadelphia 76ers; the Philadelphia 76ers traded Andre Iguodala to the Denver Nuggets; and the Philadelphia 76ers traded Maurice Harkless, Nikola Vucevic and a future 1st round draft pick to the Orlando Magic. Denver will send the lower of its two 2014 first round draft picks to Orlando. June 26, 2014: Traded by the Orlando Magic to the Denver Nuggets for Evan Fournier and a 2014 2nd round draft pick (56th pick).
Kenneth Faried? Wilson Chandler? Javale 'shaqtain a fool' McGee? Anyway this gives Orlando some flexibility, today should be interesting
Denver was rumored to want to acquire Afflalo to throw him into a package for Kevin Love. I wonder if this means Denver is getting Love, or getting hopeful about it. Still not all that convincing a package to me, but whatever.
