Dude, it is the summer league. DO you think the win-lose record carries over to the regular season? lol
I agree, he has a nose for the ball and has hustled back whereas others may have hung their head. I'd like to give him a shot with the Vipers
Clutchfan's curse. When fans or Morey hype a pick they tend to bust up. It's still early to call that though.
Johnson obviously is the most talented player on the court in SL and should help the big club, but if there is one area I think he needs work is his left hand (dribbling, passing, shooting).
Post up baby hook, spot-up three, euro step, pull-up jumper, put-back breakaway layup, tip-in....this dude showed an array of offensive moves. He is really seasoned for a rookie. It's unfortunate that all this FA drama is overshadowing his performance
I'm not dumb enough to think he can play the 3, but I'm just wondering if more small-ball opportunities await him if CP25 is gone.
Nick Johnson is the only one that should sniff an NBA roster. Maybe a couple of those other guys can mess around in the D-league for a while but I don't see future NBA players in any of those guys. They all suck. And the thing is, I think Nick Johnson might look even better with better teammates. If he was able to play the 2 while Canaan played the 1 with Covington at the 3, I think he'd look a lot better. A lot of those guys I wouldn't have even wasted my time with, but I guess they had to fill out the roster. Sad that I miss the days where Casper Ware was running the summer league team.
Nick Johnson reminds me of John Starks. And that's not a bad thing. The way he moves, the way he shoots, body composition...John Starks 2.0
All our "top" players for the summer league has been out. Presumably due to our chaotic offseason and possible trade inclusions. They'll play in Vegas if they're still Rockets by then.
Where is coachbadlee when we need him? Nick Johnson the lesser cp3 thread pls. I'm surprised nobody is seeing the talent, it's going unnoticed on here. Not surprised.
