Not worth an apology at all, but he doesn't lose anything by saying that any contact was unintentional. The "raging animal" stuff is much more offensive than the unintentional contact.

Further proof of the wussification of America. Who cares if he apologizes or not? The kid wasn't hurt, no issue.

A lawsuit is probably on the way.

I would like to apologize to ClutchFans for not posting in this thread until now.

The request for apology underscores the plight of the Orlando Magic generally. Magic players need to step up and apologize to the Nancy for letting Big Baby have an open jumper with the game on the line.

This was talked about on 610 radio. I think it's stupid. Just a little rich b*stard trying to find the littlest thing to complain about to his Da DA! I'm sure it was unintentional. The little fart was just in the way. Would've been funny if he'd bull right over him. :D

I don't even thing Big Baby realized he did that. How do you appologize when you don't realize you did something. Demanding an appology is a lame attempt to get your name in the paper or get some free tickets or something like that.

And yes when I accidentally bump into someone, I appologize, but I'm not normally celebrating a game winning shot in the playoffs.

Yeah, I came here to post that. The father had my sympathy until the bit about a raging animal. Now, he's the one that owes the apology.

I don't know. It feels like to me that Davis did notice the kid but was too excited to care about him. So he pushed the kid aside. It was understandable but also reasonable to apologize.

I didn't notice that before. When I go to game 6 between the Lakers and Rockets, I think I'm going to wear a Carmelo jersey now that I know it's acceptable.

I bet most of you are teenagers or yet to become parents. Rich or poor, basket court or not, when your son get pushed like that, you will demand an apology and that's the job of a father!

Where was this super tough father in the moment? Couldn't he have run down the rampaging animal to teach him some manners?

"I'm sorry for getting excited for hitting a game-winning shot on the road, and some stupid kid happened to get in the way of my arms."

Sounds like something a mom would do instead of a father.

Yep.... I would of issued an apology to the kid just to be nice until I saw the 'raging animal' part.

On second thought ....the father owes Big Baby an apology.

Why is the wealth of the kid making any difference in your judgment?

Look at the video, Davis did not just "brush" the kid, he used his right hand to clear the kid out of the way. It is understandable at the heat of the moment for celebrating his big shot. It is also understandable why the fan was upset because of the loss. (Do you think the father would have demanded an apology if it was a Magic player celebrating a winning shot?) Emotions go both ways.

I agree that the "raging animal" part is lame. But if I were Big Baby and saw the video on TV, I would step up without anyone's demand and say, "Whoever that young fan is, I am sorry for shoving you. I was just too excited. Hope you didn't get hurt." Everybody would have praised him for his class act.

The point is, don't give into every complaint filed against you. You are not always wrong for doing what you did and just because someone else thinks you are wrong, doesn't mean you have to think you are wrong.

Glen Davis could turn around and demand an apology for calling a man an animal. That is extremely insulting.
