Tuesday, June 3 @ 7:05 p.m. CT Johnson 5-2, 3.30 @ Redding 3-4, 3.36 Astros are finally at home, but to play the Baltimore Orioles?! The Astros are facing the Orioles for the first time in their histroy in the MLB. SO both teams are virtually strangers to each other. This should be an interesting game. Next up are the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, which is also a first time for the Astros to play them in the regular season, although they have met in spring training before. WHich team is going to own the other? Make your predictions.
With our inability to hit pitchers we've never seen before, I have to say that I don't much like our chances against either of those teams. That being said, I hope the Astros do well.
well, I guess it depends if the pitchers dishing out the right stuff tonight. I hope the astros can get on the Orioles pitchers early. We need this win. come on stros!!
Being in DC, I have a lot of lunches and cash riding on the Stros. Too bad you'all aren't up here. Orioles are terrible, but they have average pitching. Should be a good series. Some good hitters too. No real power tho'.
Redding has some good stuff--give him the run support and we will smash the O's Is that 7:05 on Fox Sports Southwest?
Beware of Melvin Mora and Tony Batista!!! I was at 2 Orioles games this past week and they're unbelieveable. Mora being the best hitter in baseball is not a fluke. Their pitching isn't great, but they do have some good hitters. I promise you that Batista and Mora will homer at least once in this series.
WWW game 1: 4-2 game 2: 3-0 game 3: 7-5 morgan continues his hitting and berkmen produces some rbi's wagner gives up some runs in the 9th of the final game but closes it out.
I predict a sweep, we throw our three best pitchers out there and our offense has been doing well lately (with the exception of that 16 inning circus). 7-4 5-3 2-1
Bags is gonna break out in a huge way. RMTex, great preview over at www.orangewhoopass.com Of course, you're a lot prettier than I ever could've imagined.
Ahhhhhh thank you Jimy!! Jebus, for the first time this year you through out a respectable lineup, now only if we had Hidalgo!
What is the deal with that website? Half of the links don't work (Latest News-Scoreboard-Stats), the "New Scoreboard" hasn't been updated since 5-27-03 (Astros still in 3rd place 27-25 record) Astros Daily is much better IMHO. http://www.astrosdaily.com/
The Comeback kids strike again! Bottom 8, 7-6 good guys, bases loaded no outs with biggio up. ENSBERG GRAND SALAMI TIME!!!!!! 11-6 BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
WAHOO!! we win great comeback My boy Ensberg with the huge grand slam, he is now officially my favorite player
The guys that used to run the site gave it at the end of last season. Since then it has been run into the ground. The message boards they have are usually cluttered with stupid crap and rarely is there anything worth reading there at all.
I was in nose bleed seats way up the right field line tonight, but even from there I could tell that Batista has one weird stance. It looked really open, almost to where his body was facing the pitcher. Did it look that way on tv?
It looked worse. I have seen guys that are stepping out of the box that look more ready to hit than he does.
Orioles starter Jason Johnson complained about Minute Maid Field. ``This place is like a crackerjack box,'' Johnson said. ``This field is a joke. It's a ridiculous place to pitch. You've got to get groundballs with every hitter or they hit it out. I was really upset with the way I pitched in the fifth. ``I should have gotten a loss. I got a no-decision, but the way I pitched I deserved to lose.'' You want some cheese with your big fat whine Mr Johnson? You hung pitches over the middle of the plate dummy, that will get you beat any park. You were just lucky it wasnt 4 in the 5th, as Bagwell's would have been out any another park. I'm sorry that you are a mediocre pitcher and need to rip on a two year old myth about the park to make yourself feel better. Grow up. or go to triple A, son.
