Never have liked milk... lots of people I know drink it, my woman buys that MOOTOPIA from HEB and I know that CRAP is about 5 dollars GOOD GOD you can get a cheap wine for that price, and they say wine is good for you too
I don't know why it isn't illegal to sell non-organic food. Just another reason we're being manipulated by the man.
The cool thing about Horizon is, eventhough organic is definitely more expensive, if you don't drink that much milk it starts shifting in your favor because of expiration date. I got some Horizon 2% at Whole Foods sometime around December 30th. Its expiration date is around February 3rd. You can't beat that.
I do not like or drink organic milk because it seems flaky. I don't mean flaky like it contains flakes but flaky as in you look like a flake if you buy it. Same goes for soy for that matter. It took me YEARS to get where I could buy skim but since some of the different brands use different colors I can get away with buying the 2% like it was a mistake. Pretty much all of that uppity, yuppity, "I am more informed than you and I can prove it by the **** I buy" can disappear and the world won't change one bit.
Yeah, we noticed that too but I don't wait that long to drink it. I noticed that it says right on the carton that they reccomend drinking the milk within 7 days of the day it is opened.
That's like a smoker being afraid to buy a pack of Marlboro Lights because he doesn't want to look like a pansy. Instead he keeps buying the horrible tasting and more harmful non filtered Camels.
Bah. Not being mean here, but "purified" water has less regulations on it than tap water does. When Dasani was introduced in Britain, their Gov. did a test to prove their tap water was just as pure. The test results proved that their tap water was more purified than Dasani. Coke promptly removed it from there. Yet, we "smart" American's feel if anything says "pure" or "natural" or "organic" these days, it must be better. Hogwash. Remember: Evian spelled backwards is naive.
Actually, the issue of whether or not something is or isn't pure or organic because it says so is coming more into the spotlight recently. If I remember correctly, using the word "organic" actually is regulated. You can't just start a farm and call yourself organic and not expect some trouble. Can't speak to bottled water specifically...though at least locally it certainly looks and tastes better and cleaner than tap, but I don't really drink it that much. I do, however, use a water filter at home. What did they say about the effectiveness of those.
It didn't. Their main problem was with Dasani coming in, it was to say that their water was tainted. England wanted to disspell that immediately.
next time you pick up a bottle of "natural" spring water read the back label. many times you will see that it comes from the same water facility that tap water does. http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/topics.do?topic=bw atleast watch the clip to the right titled -- Bottled Water Regulations
I have to admit that this is one of the few threads that has caused me to change my mind on a subject. I'm buying organic milk from now on. Thanks.
I'm not trying to preach that you should buy organic because of all the hormones in regular milk....it just really tastes a lot better. Try it, you will agree.
You realize that even organic milk has pus in it, right? Better to stay away from it, altogether. Maybe stick to water? Got Pus?
Yeah but even if you have an organic farm or whatever that doesn't stop people from abusing the service or name. I remember a week ago a kosher meat facility came under fire for their procedures in slaughtering the animals.
True, but just because drunk-driving is illegal doesn't mean you may never get in an accident with a drunk driver.
