Really? What good trades did he pull off? What key free agents did he sign?

I'm pretty sure most of what he did was via the draft. He made some small trades and he signed Andre Miller. Big deal.

Don't know why they fired a GM that was skilled in trades and FA.

Should have not let go of Pritchard.

    /thread.

Andre Miller was the best PG that fit the team, during the FA period.

Nabbed Roy, Aldridge, and Oden in drafts. Sure, it was drafts, but it isn't like you can mess up in drafts.

Traded for Camby when Pryz went down.

He did everything he could to make sure POR had the best possible team. I mean, this isn't 2k10.

Pritchard did a very good job for the Blazers. If Brandon Roy weren't injured, they would have made the Western Conference Finals and lost to the Lakers, IMO. Injuries just killed them this season.

Andre Miller is just who he threw money at after the Turkoglu signing failed. And he didn't fit the team well for most of the season. In fact, for most of the season there were chemistry issues between Miller and Roy.

Roy was a good draft pick, as was Aldridge. Oden obviously hasn't worked out.

The Camby trade was pretty good considering both Oden and Pryzbilla had gone down. And I'm not saying Pritchard hasn't done a decent job in Portland, but I'd hardly say he's made any exceptional signings or trades. In my mind, the best thing he's done is managed to not screw things up. Which is more than most GM's can say and is what makes him a pretty solid GM. I still think he's over-rated though. A few good draft picks and the deep pockets of a billionaire have made him look a lot better than he is.
