Honestly I enjoyed the fight, had a feeling with all the pre-game build up something was going to happen. Please people keep your political correctness at home with your boring idea of role models, sportsmanship etc...I like to see a good sucker punch once in a while especially involving two player and two teams I have no interest in watching ever again. Its a physical sport, maybe if the Ducks had clocked the guy who ran a two point conversion untouched on that play then a lot of this would have been avoided. Yes, that is my solution to this incident, stuff like this happens whenever a team is gets their ass handed to them in front of a hostile crowd.

I kinda found the whole thing funny. I really have no moral opinion or judgement on this other then it appears 2 jerkoffs met, 1 jerkoff looked like he instigated the matter and the other jerkoff had a rebuttal for him. Other then that, I couldn't give a rat's ass if those guys peed on each other.

....though I gotta echo the sentiment that if you're going to start talking trash after a football game, you might want to leave your helmet on.

...after watching it a few more times, I find the Boise St player's body reaction to Hout's rebuttal funnier and funnier. Kinda like when Ron Artest and Jermaine O'neal clocked those fans that walked on the court and bucked to them in the Palace Brawl.

I think the whole season is a little harsh. Then again, the guy's had a history of behavioral problems and maybe this is the final straw that broke the camel's back. Hopefully he can learn from this, then again I don't really care about Oregon football...

    Sucker puncher < any douchebag.

    It's classless. It's cowardly. It's just pathetic.

I've had it happen to me twice. The second guy apologized to me a couple days later because he'd been misinformed. Luckily, that one wasn't bad.

The one that I'll never forget was at the Bellaire/Westbury "Greyhole" game.

Some ****head (and that's with an "f") drives up to our car in a pickup with a rebel flag dangling out the back end. He comes up and asks if I know some random dude at Bellaire. I say I don't. He says he doesn't believe me. I turn around to ignore him, but he keeps going.

    Everything else I was told:

Apparently I told him to F off and he sucker punches me before I can say it. That apparently put me into a hands and legs position beside the car. Then he kicks me in the face which causes my head to flip back and create a dent in the car door.

I regained consciousness (although I never really lost it, according to my friends. They said they threw me in the car as soon as it happened, but I was talking incoherently for 15-20 minutes) shortly thereafter.

My face puffed up as hell the next day, and I still have a broken tooth and a shifted nose because of it.

If you're not man enough to fight a man face to face, and have to resort to his crap, you're a p***y.

    Plain and simple.

I went to the barbershop today and the verdict is the dude deserved to get clocked per the idiot code, section 14. If you are gonna go talk s;:& to a dude with past behavioral issues then at least make sure you have your helmet on....or don't turn away from him after ya lay down the smack. I bet he won't talk noise again...

I don't know about that: he did lay hands on another player (shoved him) after the game was over. That's pretty blatant. Just because he ended up on the losing end of the scuffle afterwards does not erase what he did. If he'd walked away, one could argue, none of this would have happened. Hout deserves to sit for awhile, too.

I always try to point out that the guy that seems to lose foresight of the consequences of his actions is usually the guy that is ashamed and really mad at himself. The striking out is a self destructive impulse. He knows it's the end of the world, that's what he wants.

So, when you're out there in the real world and you see a guy with shame or self-loathing, watch out!, and get out of his way, cause he don't care.

Failed father, cornered criminal, futureless youth, dumped boyfriend,
depressed drunk, oppressed minority, fired employee, etc.

And, the more bravado they use to allay their self-doubt they harder they are going fall if they fail, as in this case.

Is anybody shocked that Fatty has been sucker punched?

If I could sucker punch somebody in a BBS thread, I would every time Texx says "brah".

I personally don't think he was running away. He was backing up because he was expecting retaliation because he was surrounded by Bronco players and coaches.

I don't know if you can say the Boise St guy "deserved" to be punched, but you don't shove someone and talk trash right in their face and expect nothing to happen.

And can you really call it a sucker punch? It's not like he didn't do anything. He should have been expecting at least some trash talk in return so don't turn your head. If I was arguing/fighting somebody and I shove them then immediately turn around so that he hits/punches me in my back, I get to call it a sucker punch?

Also, the Boise St player I think should be suspended for a game, and the Oregon St player maybe only half the season or something.

He backed away slowly. It's not like he ran. The Boise St. players had a chance to get him if they really wanted to.

Thankfully the Bronco players were the bigger man in this situation and didn't stoop to the Oregon guy's level

Isn't that the definition of running away?

Running away like a coward I picture that person turn his body around and running as fast as he can away from the other person.

The Oregon guy was backing up and had his fists ready to return fire.
