So you're getting an even smaller paycheck than if it was running at normal capacity and confidence from diners was 100% that they wouldn't contract or pass on this virus. Not to mention that many states were under prepared for the sheer volume of unemployment applicants and some people are still waiting for financial relief an in already limping system. And given that upwards of 5 million Texans alone are uninsured, probably because they're poor and can't afford a quality healthcare plan like waiters, bussers and hosts, if they do get sick and it turns worse, they get the joy of filing for bankruptcy down the road while earning a lesser paycheck than if they stayed home, collected a fatter unemployment paycheck and retained their health.
